I don't want to call myself a racist but I have some problems/issues with african american/black/whatever you want to call it [culture.] I feel like their music portrays women in a light that makes them seem like all they are GOOD for is sex and only sex. I just feel like their culture degrades black women and in turn this effects white women as well. I also have the same feelings about muslim culture. I feel like middle-eastern cultures limit their women's abilities and are just completely unfair. Does anyone else know where I'm coming from? I'm not trying to offend. I'm not pointing the finger at ALL black people or ALL islamic.

New York has recently band use of the N word by anybody. I'm black and I personally do not use it but who am I to say that you can't use it. Being black, if I don't wish to be called that I don't call anyone else that. But is this going to have a snowball effect? Will we soon not be able to curse in public and finally not be able to voice our opinions. What happened to free speech? I feel if you dislike the word and it's meaning, don't use it and tell those around you not to use in reference to you. But I'm not going to tell the whole world they can't use it because I enjoy free speech and don't wish to see it destroyed.

Discussing immigration last night - the most talked-about and political issue wherever I go - we talked about so-called multiculturism and its reality.

Wherever the indigenous (OK - white) population meets you rarely see a non-white face. The theatre, restaurants, demonstrations in support of local hospitals - it really seems to be the preserve of the white people. Also blood donor sessions, bone marrow donors - a vast shortage of ethnic minority donors.

It seems that, socially, there is very little mixing of races and that we live in parallel with each other rather than alongside - am I wrong or is the concept of multiculturism a myth?

I just had a very strange dream last night that inspires the question. Something about being introduced to a group/cult on a hillside. Lots of interesting/freaky people, disregard for normal society's rules, strange feeling in the air that something bad's about to happen.

Anyway, what sort of real experiences have you had?

Thanks.

Back in 1989 at the first uk showing of romancing the stone, the film broke for adverts but, for a moment instead of adverts the screen changed and what appeared to be computer graphics came on the screen(more to the story) the transmision finished with a real womans face and she said these words: welcome to your future a celebration of 2010.My daughter who was watching at the time saw the same thing with a slight variation.Did anyone else witness this ?

I think the terrorists will lose mainly cause we have been torture them to get answers. Now USA is a safe place to be. I bet the UK and Spain wish they have done a guantanamo to, that would have saved many lifes. The torture is a good tool if you like people to speak. Human rights for who? Innocent or terrorists?

There are certain groups (Nation of Islam, being the first to come to mind) that are becoming increasingly vocal in expressing their desire and intention for black superiority and dominance in America. What kinds of effects do you see in the future as a result of this movement. Also, how is this any more "okay" than white supremacists in the south and elsewhere?
