Not necessarily. Some, yes. Many people mistakenly believe that the confederate flag stands for a desire to have never had slavery abolished. That was NOT the reason for the Civil War. The Civil War was fought in an effort to uphold state's rights. The southern states wished to secede from the Union. When this was denied, they fought to preserve the right to do so. That is why the confederate soldiers were referred to as "rebels"--they were rebelling against the Union Army, which was trying to prevent the southern states from leaving the Union. All the southern states wanted to do was to form their own union--just as the colonists wished to do when they left England. Remember, the Revolutionary War was about the SAME THING!

i don't think they are racist, why because you have got to look at it from many ways . but what i have found is the flag of any country
leads people in a unity , so what happens is when people are united,
they cannot see anything except the flag which keeps then together, now that's where what you call racist come into play ,
the flag keeps them so united, any other color coming into play is not excerpted .i am not defending flag lovers ,
in fact i believe many people are lead to believe one thing and its another, so i hope this helps you

NO. Are the people that have their little afreaka flags on their rear view mirrors racist? Yes.
At least the stars and bars represent an American culture, not a foreign one.

This question has been done over and over. Some people use it as a racist battle flag. Others see it as being proud they are from the south.

Not necessarily; if you are from the South its part of your heritage, and I also want to enlighten you, that during the Civil War, many brave men fought under that flag...BLACK and WHITE men.
