Sounds like you are stereotyping. A culture has many members young and old...all do not approve of the things you speak of. The media tends to portray the images that are news making.(shocking).
Think about your own culture...are there not white wife beaters, mass murderers etc. Is it considered a cultural thing? I don't think so why is that?
So Sabrina thinks Afro-Americans are THUGS?
Racist is as racist does marke.
Liberal another label (r m ) Funny you are doing exactly what you say the "liberals" do. Why is white culture never criticized?

Your issues are not seemingly to me, anti black or Muslim. You feel that the downgrading of women in parts of the culture is not acceptable. You have every right to feel this way, however, this is only one piece of a culture and many people in each culture do share your views. The strong African American woman and Muslim woman are also a formidable presence in both cultures whether out in the open or behind the veil.

Everything you say is correct; however, I don't know why you are talking only about the black music or muslim culture. Our white music is equally as bad, and our television is the worst of all. This is not a black issue at all. It is a world issue.
Our world has turned women into sex objects. Every commercial, magazine, TV program, etc., shows women as sex objects. The newest horror is Deal or No Deal, showing 40 women scantily clad with everything hanging out, and then calling them "ladies" in a polite manner that completely denies the sexism being shown. I don't see ANY men standing up there with a box holding their bodies in display.
Instead of singling out a group of people, I suggest fighting this issue by speaking up in general.
We must be careful to see ALL of the sexism and not blame it on a specific group of people.

OK it is not a black thing and yes a lot of rappers use images of black women in a none faltering way you see they know that what they are saying alone wont sell CD,s so they hype it up with hot women. Do you think these women are doing this for free no it,s about money. Black people are doing to each other now what white.s have done to them for over 400 years so if your white you have nothing to worry about you are a woman get over it men see you one way no matter how much you know what you have it does not matter this is a nature thing I am a man AND you are woman if I am not in love with you then you are just like every other woman in the world if your not giving me sex then we have nothing to talk about

That's not a people issue - it's a difference in values. Best thing to do is to simply tolerate the values you don't like, but don't lump people together in one big group.
There are lots of black people who don't listen to rap and only listen to classical, and there are many places in the middle east where women are just as free as men.
First, study to make sure you have all the facts before pointing fingers, because it could get you in trouble one day.

You are talking about ancient cultures that have maintained though to today. If the christian culture had maintained through to today you would never have been able to learn to read or write and you would have been the property of your father until he married you off and then you would be the property of your husband. Some cultures are stuck in the 12th century.

Why are you telling us? I'm sure a majority of Americans agree with you. I hate rap music myself and I hate it when it's called "black culture". That's like saying heavy metal is the epitome of "white culture". Colors don't have cultures.

I see you have had nothing but liberals answer your question.( the ones that can't answer but are quick to say "well white people" ) Just the way when you ask about one of their politico's they can't answer w/o saying " but Bush"
The reason Blacks do this is because our Gov has made their population dependent on them( the blacks know this deep down they just won't admit it, they use the excuss that it's some how owed to them) this lowers their self asteam, that's why they have to treat women that way. Thumb downers, fire away. Let's see how many Ostriches we have out there.

Well, the music is simply putting into words the actual LIFESTYLE of the people who identify with it. I don't think that the MUSIC is the issue, but the LIFESTYLE it portrays. I know a woman (white) who prefers black men. HER statement to me was "I can't help it. I just love me a thug". (I didn't say that----she did) Well, that is her choice. If a woman is willing to live that type of lifestyle, then who are we to have an issue with her choice? It takes all kinds, I guess.

when you bring up a touchy subject about anything black/afro/african american/whatevertheywanttobecalled people will label you as racist, stereotyping or a bigot. most amusing thing those people do is say whites do it too.
Anyway, it's their problem, along with crime; lack of education, just look at the inner city; etc.... they don't want to see it and do something about it. they just want their 40 acres and a mule it's no wonder they are still considered to be the most disrespected race.
