Ethnocentrism is necessary or not?

Whats your real ethnic origine? Do you know really where are you come from with your all ancestry?

As we can see from other countries, Balkanization causes problems, whether it be Muslims in France or Catalonians in Spain, etc. The sooner we all start to concentrate on our American culture, and learn to live together, the better off we will all be. Everytime you seperate yourself from the country you live in, you are hurting your children to come. There is nothing wrong with passing down culture, but quite honestly, if you look at the youngsters now, they've managed to mix many cultures together and will do better for it.

This is not to say I'm not proud of my heritage; I am. But because of their accomplishments, not what race or ethnicity they happened to be born.
