Alot of doctors are just too arrogant about themselves and they have no compassion for anybody. Not all of them though. You will occasionally find a good doctor somewhere in the hospital that is good to the nurses as well as to the patients.

Because they think they are better than them . Pitty also the housekeepers and other support staff who are in turn treated poorly by the nurses . Anyway , the doctors have to be nice to the patients or they can go elsewhere . A nurse has to put up with their "God Complex " or she might as well move out . Hospitals will always kiss up to the doctors because they want them to practice at their facility . If they treat a nurse , or anyones else bad ,the administration would rather not make them accountable . In closing , next time you feel bad by the doctors ill treatment , just remember how dietary workers and housekeepers feel when nurses treat them like dirt . When a nurse doesn't even look at you and she is soo nice to the patient standing right next to you ? Words for thought

Doctors are used to being treated like they are Gods by patients that they have helped. Nurses KNOW better.
Besides, the patient pays. The nurse doesn't pay.

You're not kidding, i'd like to see a doctor do a shift in a nursing home and give meds, listen to all the bitching, change diapers, istead of just calling up once a week or so to see how everyone's doing.

MDs are egomaniacs, they believe the worship from their patients and think anyone in medicine without the beloved MD is scum.
