Is there some unspoken rule that all "country music" stars must be pre-Iraq War Republicans? That is, never disagree with the president if he does something totally awful, especially if he is a Republican?
Remember that Natalie Maines made this comment to an audience in London. Yes, she might have been pandering slightly to a different audience than she was used to.
But, do any of you remember when "Larry The Cable Guy" referred to her as "the li'l fat one" who "oughtta shut up!" ? Here, "Larry" was very obviously pandering to an audience he claims to know very well. Did that performance anger any Dixie Chick haters?
Don't answer this question if you never liked them musically. Tastes, I can understand. But if you liked them before, and hate them now, despite the fact that the politics have changed in the US, tell me why.
