I'm sick of people whining about how horrible their ancestors had it. Why does it matter? Whitey didn't do it to you. You did it to yourselves, Whitey simply followed in the footsteps of great African leaders. Get over it. Move on, already. That's no reason to be bitter, or angry or resentful. Move on with your lives, or you are just proving that Whitey is the better race - better because they have already moved on. How about that?

Because they want their own "Chocolate City". If they put it all behind them, they wouldn't have gotten all the financial support after Katrina and couldn't have blamed it all on Bush, or God.
I'm not racist, but I agree that it's past history. Even though, there is a huge problem with reverse racism against whites. I have no problem with saying hello to an African American person in public, but 95% of the time they cannot even say hello, or wus up, in return.
And I understand that's not true for all African Americans. Some make all the rest look bad.
I'm 32 and I wasn't around during slavery times, neither were you unless you're 142 years old. You owe me nothing and I owe you nothing. Let's just help each other out without expectations.

Well, it's nice to know that many white people don't care what happened to Black people during the times of slavery. So what if Black sold their own people into slavery. That doesn't give the right for white people to treat other human beings like animals. What happened to Black people was atrocious and since racism still exists among white people, Black people will never forget.

A good start for it to be over would be by getting rid of the whole Black History Month BS... We get it shoved in our faces all month & people get sick of it... Maybe then people will start to move on...

I agree that people should get over it, but it is important to know your history, but don't bring that in the present. But the problem is that racism still exists.

I don't know why its even brought up these days. Am I supposed to feel bad for things I had no control over. My question is, "why is it rarely mentioned that black tribes sold other blacks to come to this country?"
