Black History Month was originally only a week called ***** History Week that was celebrated in February because that's the month that Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln have their birthday. That it's in the same month that Valentines Day is celebrated is just a coincidence.

no, valentines day is a really old tradition based from a sad story of a russian guy in prison (i don't remember the whole story, heard it when i was younger) and black history month was constructed long after this incident.

it really is more desirable like Black historic previous QUARTER. they commence in January conversing about Martin Luther King all month, then February is spent telling us all what an excellent historic previous might want to be discovered in the Black race, and then they spend all of March telling us what we heard in January and February.
