According to Turistas, The Mission, City of God, The Rundown among other movies, Brazilians are ravage, primitive, vicious beings that live in forests and have a voracious appetite for blood. Hollywood has done little to stop this stereotype and even furthers the negative perception of Brazil by blaming all Brazilians for deforestation. At times, I've even seen Americans movies use Spanish instead of Portuguese. Had it been African Americans, Jews or Russians, many would consider this racist. What do you guys think? Is this all in my head, or is our country truly that narrow-minded?

I am refering to just someone you met at the pub and talked with while drunk, for example.
You know telling all your secret wishes and goals and such as well as about your childhood , etc.

My mom is a dark skinned black person and my dad is asian. I look just like a asian girl. People say i look like Ziyi Zhang. But as soon as i tell people that my mom is black, they are like what! And i used to leave in asia, (not saying were) they would treat me different whe they found out my mom was black. They would say i was black and treat me like i was.

So i tell people now that i am black. But my father gets mad and sad when I say this. He says that i am a part of him too and i should say i'm both, but i'm like then i should say i am Mexican and Irish too. Because my mom's grandmother was that.

I don't want to feel like a mutt! I want to belong to a race of people. I know i have all these races in me but i say i am black.

I even wish i had my mom hair and her dark skin. I wish i looked just like my mom. anyways can you tell me what you think.

How is it that you do everything right in this world and you still are not in the place where you want to be and maybe I should just put a spell on the person I want to be with and be done with it no more wishin and hopin only lovin and holdin I don't know really ya shouldn't mess with somones free will but what the hell!!!

when you are talking with them, do you think this means more that

a. this person is dishonest. ( cant trust person)
b. this person thinks that I am dishonest? (person doesnt trust me)

why???
I personally dont like looking at people when talking because I feel worn down by it.

I'm from the Mid-West and I just moved to the Pacific coast. It seems that a lot of people out here don't get my sarcastic wit unless they're transplants from a different area, like myself.

I'm feeling it's a Mid-West thing... kind of like how everyone says "Hella" out here.

Is there a reason for this? Is my claim unfounded? Am I not meeting the right people?

In 1955 the schools were intergraded by law, in the proceding years we saw white-flight to the burbs and we watched our cities fall apart from corupt politicians and very poor management, Detroit, New Orleans are just a couple of examples. In our neighborhood we had a first class movie theatre, built in 1980. It was a "all" white area of town then, it was a great clean place to go and enjoy a movie. Then blacks moved in about 5 years ago, to say the least it's gone down hill, crimes, drugs etc. We moved about 15 miles from our old neighborhood 5 years ago, the old theatre has annouced it's closing and building a new place 1 mile from our new home, we are very excited and happy once again. Well the blacks are protesting the closing, they have not made money in 3 years and have been robbed dozen of times, they are sick of it. The black people don't understand why they are leaving, they call this a racist move by the theatre. It's NOT, it's a move to a clean neighborhood.

I know there's this big dispute about whether or not black women should get relaxers or go "natural". But the only people who ever talk about this are black people. I have no real opinion about this but its become a cultural dispute and I want to know more.

What do other races of people think about African-American hair? Is hair really worth arguing about?

How so?
Why does the face and eyes reveal so much about not only a person's intellect, but attitude as well as just overall character?
I also think that a person can look totally different sometimes depending on their level of character (kind, good,honest vs. selfish arrogant, and decietful) which can many times be half and half.

Why is this??? How are you able to determine so much from a persons face?

White people get blamed for a shared racist society. Most other nationalities can't stand black people as much as more than white people. But t seems that all we keep hearing is how bad white people are toward black people. I pray that some day black people will wake up and start contributing positively to our country as a total race. So many races like the Indian Indians come into my country and become assets to our nation. When will black people follow suit and step up as responsible people?

How about adding a moderate quantity of spices in their food which makes them stink less? Smart brain but they dress sloppy too. Do they really have to show how poor India is ... 24/7?
