good question..i believe that most people are involved in the rat race on one level or another...as a college sophomore, i already feel that i am developing more of a competitive edge than i have ever experienced in my whole life.. unfortunately, it is a part of this nation's free-market foundation and forces us to focus on elevating our status, whether it includes education, professional training, etc. However, while one is participating in the 'race', this doesn't mean that your sense of integrity and self-respect will be tarnished...hold on your values and enjoy the ride.
