Isn't every month pretty much a "white history" month?

And yes, I am white.

Yes there should be a "White History Month". Not only that, there should be a month for every race! Its only fair. It should either be that way or no race months at all. I think we shouldn't have any months.

The only history i learn about dealing with races are the blacks. I know more black history than i do white history (and I'm white) because that's all I've been taught in school. We should be taught about every culture and races' backgrounds or none at all. It only make sense.

The people who say no need to analyze the situation more. If all men are created equal then shouldn't we have the same things? Its common sense and the people who fail to see that need to think a lot more about it.

Isn't the idea of black history month that white history is always taught while black history is confined to one month? There are months in America to learn about all minorities, the assumption being that the rest of the time white history is being taught... why would there be an extra month?

Every month of the year is already White History Month.

no race should have their own history month. History is history no matter if it were black, white, Mexican, or Asian, if we want to be seen as Americans we should have American history, not minority/majority history... its racially biased and ... omg! Too many topics about this. Too many race related issues. I realize now why I started hating people, all people, not specific races, its because people can be so superficial. Who else really cares? I mean, who else cares besides close/small-minded irrelevant people who have nothing better to do than waste their miserable existences on something so meaningless?

If there is a history month for every other race, then yes. However, I think we'd be better off not having any "race" months. The history of all these groups should be taught in history classes year-round.

There is too much history for a White history month - as much as I would love there to be one.

But there SHOULD also be a Latino History month, an Asian history month, and a Native history month (for native/indigenous peoples) to even things out.

Right now its looks discriminatory having JUST a Black history month.

No for the last time. They haven't done anything good to deserve it. They also shove their boring history down our throats 365 days a years so why should they also have a special month?

Not really. 'Black History Month' is a reaction against slavery and intolerance... it creates a template for a new society where awareness and education combat ignorant stereotypes and apathy. It highlights the Africa struggle to be recognised on a level footing with European (and Asian) cultures.

Also, without anything resembling a native written language or substantial technological, economic or scientific advancement, it only takes a month to get through it all. Enjoy.
