This is a time in our lives that blacks and whites and others are fairly equal, finally, Our country has come a long way but I am not saying it is perfect.
Blacks are far better off here than in other countries including Africa. Blacks are singers, actors, dancers, CEO's, politicians, and more. They are climbing the ladder to sucess because it is possible in our country.
Sure, they have to work harder sometimes to get where thay want to go, and this is not fair but it can build lots of fine character. I would hire an educated black over an uneducated white anyday. And if both were equally educated, I would hire the one that is a leader, no matter what his color is. A leader is someone any company would want to hire.
Not all whites are perfect and some still do not treat blacks fairly but we have come a long long way. We need to keep pushing for equality.
My Army son works with many blacks who are his friends. He trusts his life to them as they do with him.
My younger son is exceptional in treating all equal. He never sees color and actually looks up to many Black Athletes. He goes out of his way to make black friends. The tiny town he grew up in was a resort and we had very few blacks. But I raised him to use his heart and his head and to understand that all cultures are humans inside and out. I am proud of both my fine young men.
I just hope we continue to progess to Equality in our World, it has been needed for a very long time.

I'm a optimist, I expect good things in general everyday I walk out of the door. I would say that in my years I have never been stopped from doing something because I was Black, but I have been stereotyped.

As a black woman I believe we are treated fairly by some white people. However, white people treat us the way we treat ourselves.Once black people treat themselves fairly, other people will be able to treat us accordingly.
