Is it not the same thing? A lack of self control. We do not baby alcoholics. We treat them like they have personal issues that they need to work on. Which is the way they should be treated. Now if you are so fat you can not walk from your car to the store then we let you park right in front of the store in the handicap spaces. Then we give you an electric cart to ride around in while you are in the store. We have to accommodate fat people or it is discrimination of some sort. We can not even call them fat because of political correctness. “They may have issues that they can not help”. They do have issues the same as alcoholics. Alcoholics can not keep liquor out of their mouth and fat people can not keep Twinkies out of theirs. Should we as a society not be tougher on fat people?

I am white and am not racist.. But if the tables were turned and a white man made a speech along the same lines.. Surely he would receive a prison sentence..

I live in the south.When I watch the news people talking about the racist south,I say who are they talking about.I grew up here and I can count the racist I've met on one hand.When people move here from other parts of the country,they always say that race relations in the south is there biggest surprise.

I just found out that I wasmixed Domincan 6 months ago. My dad doesn't embrace his Dominican roots because he says to white people he'll just be another Black person anyway . I feel like I don't know my culture and I feel that I'm missing out on something big. What can I do to get closer to my culture?

How many people are staying in and having a house party this New Year? I went out last weekend in Manchester and was disgusted at the pubs we went in were all charging £3 to £5 (which are normally free, and the Clubs put the entrance fees up too!) to get in and the bouncers were stood there with a collection bucket before you even got to the doors! No money in the buckets and you didn't get in! Its expensive enough to go out to start with, without the pubs taking advantage at this time of year when everyone's skint to start with!
So....... is it IN........ or is it OUT????
