How many people are staying in and having a house party this New Year? I went out last weekend in Manchester and was disgusted at the pubs we went in were all charging £3 to £5 (which are normally free, and the Clubs put the entrance fees up too!) to get in and the bouncers were stood there with a collection bucket before you even got to the doors! No money in the buckets and you didn't get in! Its expensive enough to go out to start with, without the pubs taking advantage at this time of year when everyone's skint to start with!
So....... is it IN........ or is it OUT????

I'm in.
This is DWI night; at the very least, get pulled over and hassled by the local Barneys who will be drunk-hunting big time.
We call New Years Eve Amateur Night. This is when people who don't ordinarily go out do, drink WAY more than they're used to, and then all hell inevitably breaks loose in some form or another.

Normally I like to stay in, I'm an utter hermit! But NYE is the one night of the year that I like to be around lots of people. So out for me, but in a relatively quiet pub with my nearest friends, rather than a nasty noisy club with a billion strangers.

Staying IN well going to a party at a friends house. Last year it was a nigtmare waiting for taxis to get out, paying a double fare, q-ing for to get into places, paying in at least £10, being squashed in the club, q-ing for the toilet, q-ing at the bar, no chance of getting a taxi home. It's much easier staying in and heading out on new years night

I am staying in this year. I dont have no one to go out with now beleive it or not. WHy when you grow up you have less and less friends. Now, seriously, on my life, i dont have one friend to go out with and party at new year. but i see it as a blessing sometimes and other times, really depressed. But this year i am just gonna work and save money. so i start the year by currling up on the sofa with a good movie and a munch !1

I am going out with freinds, around somebodys house for drinks till about 10 then onto a club for the final countdown. and hopefully me and three freinds who have to travel to meet up will be together at the end for a taxi home, or else the price seems to triple!

in, just like the past five years, i think its boring going out new years eve, my town is pretty small so they have even higher prices because they know its the only place to go! and the only nightclub in my town has just lost its licence because of a huge fight, so that the lastest anywhere will be open now half twelve in this town! im getting some raspberry breezers, magners for the bloke and chill out for the night lol

I think that the New Year's Eve is better to spend with your family / friends at home because I do not like spending it in a pub or restaurant

Unfortunately, it will be In again for me this year. I normally go to a friends party, but her sister moved to Australia just over 2 years ago, so she has been going to stay with her for Christmas and New Year.
