Before anyone starts having a go, this isn't meant to anger anybody. Just hear me out:

There have been studies and tests recently, that have led scientists and psychologists to believe that homosexuality is just a mis-firing in the brain, a mental disorder. Something that can be treated, put right, or 'cured'.

How does that make you feel hearing of those studies? Does it make you question yourself? Or what is the arguement against this?

I promise I'm not being rude to anyone, I'm just curious as to what someone thinks when they are told that what they see as a way of life, natural or normal, is actually not at all.

It needn't be homosexuality, could be anything, but this is the most common example I could find that involves a scientific study actually suggesting such things about such a sizeable group of people.

I'm sick of it! There's nothing wrong with gays! Please explain either:
(A) Why you dislike gays
or
(B) Why you think so many people dislike them.
Thank you. Hopefully the word will get out and people will stop being such homophobes.

Oh, by the way, I am straight and have a girlfriend.

Or would you rather we had points taken away for long-windedness?

I for one don't mind long answers (the stars are supposed to be based on "completeness"), it's the run-on questions that I usually skip, like the ones from teenyboppers with their relationship questions ("So, like, do you think he likes me, or what?").

Do you think we are taught or raised to be judgmental or do we really come to our own conculsions with age? I know for myself, my beliefs differ so much from my up bringing, that they are mine.
I also think society teaches alot of us what to think. I just notice in todays America, its wrong to be a free thinker. Which is what the country was founded on. How did this happian?

For example: If a person was to discuss sexuality, you are automaticality a sinner for making comments. I think it is healthier to discuss things than ignor them! Well just let me know about your opion!

I'm not homosexual, but I understand how it is not a choice. They were born attracted to the same sex... just as heterosexuals were born attracted to the opposite sex.

...So why are come people still so closed-minded? It's not an opinion anymore. It's not the 1500's. It's been proven.

Stan is my best friend. We're both gay, and now he wants to leave his wonderful Florida life to move to New York City. He has no job lined up there, but he's got a good job here. He has no place to stay up there, but he owns his own house here. I care about him so much. I don't want him to get hurt in the Big Apple. What should I do?

I am a married female, 42 yrs old and have always lived as a hetero but also always fantasized about being with women (the feminine type, not the macho type). Anyone else out there feel this way? I don't even know how to go about trying out my feelings, but they seem to be getting stronger the older I get. I don't even know where to go to meet someone with the same desires. Any suggestions?

In debate class I was assigned Pro Gay Adoption- which I do not agree with, so its not my easiest topic.... I need information or sites other than wikipedia that give info about homosexual adoption. Also I would love your opinion on Homosexual adoption, pro or anti Adoption, and why.
