I have a great friend. Whenever we're together, and ESPECIALLY when we are hanging out with other peope, he's always cracking jokes about me being gay. Like if we are playing pool, he's obviously gonna refer to the pool stick as a you-know-what, saying I like the pool stick. Things like that. Well...he's does this excessively. What can this signify?

I just can't understand why it is that when I meet gay women, at first they are really cool with me and we talk and have a great conversation, then the time comes when they find out I'm straight, it's like I never see or hear from them again. Or if I do, there is a measurable distance between us. Like there is no way we can be real friends. Why do some gay men just HATE on women, even when we could be a fabulous f*g hag, they just don't even get that far with us? I feel that in this time, when people are debating whether or not gays have the same rights as heteros (which they should!!), why do gays distance themselves from those of us that don't even want to separate them from the "rest" of us?

The Westboro Baptist Church from Kansas came up to York to protest at York Senior High school. York Suburban High School's drama club did a play called "The Laramie Project", which deals with the reaction to the tragic 1998 death of Matthew Shepherd, a gay college student who was tied to a fence and beaten to death by two men.
The Westboro Baptist Church carried hand-painted signs with the words "God Hates America," "God is Your Enemy" and "Fags Doom Nations."
They met a counter-protest from a crowd with more than 10 times as many people who told them that neither they nor their message are welcome here. More than 150 from York and the surrounding area, who knew from the media, the Internet, myspace, and word-of-mouth the Westboro folks were coming, braved bitter temperatures outside the school Saturday night with their own message. "Go back to Kansas,"
This is the same group that wanted to protest at the funerals of the Amish Girls that were killed, but at the last moment didnt.

I was wondering if anyone can offer any suggestions for any hot lesbian games or books or ideas that I can have me and my girlfriend participate in on Valentines's Day? We're open to new things but it seems all sexy games etc are geared towards straight folks!! I want my girlfriend to have an unforgetable sexy night. We're going out to dinner first and then I want to surprise her with some sexy fun when we get home...any suggestions?

here's the thing - we have gay friends and our kids know that this is no big deal.
i told my son it's like when he got a crush on the girl in his class, some people get crushes on people of the same sex. it's just the way they are born.
our neighbor's son is his age, likes to hold hands and is generally more interested in "girl" toys. my son said he really likes this other boy, and wants him to know he would never be mean to him just because he's gay. I was like, no, you can't say anything because it might embaress him. so he wants to know what's embaressing about it if there's nothing wrong with it. ummmm . . . . . ?
so then i said you don't know he's gay so you shouldn't assume it, it's not your business. he said it doesn't bother him that people know he likes the girl in his class.
please help, i don't care about being p.c. or whatever, i just want to be a good mommy.

i can't ask my gay friends because i don't want to hurt their feelings or put them on the spot.

Why is it that homophobic people keep answwering questions in the gay, lesbian, bisexual section and giving cruel answers?
I mean, if they feel so sick at the thought why bother even looking and the question?

We're both girls and for a while it seemed like both of us were bi. We cybered and would kiss each other, but only on the cheek or neck. We held hands all the time too and one of our friends actually thought we were dating. Then I told her that I thought I liked her and nothing changed. We even went to a halloween party as husband and wife and everyone thought we were together. But then I told her I was bi and started dating a girl and it all stopped, she even ignored me for a while. She also started making sure everyone knew she was straight as a ruler. We were talking about some girl that we both knew that is bi and she said "I'm happy for her that she knows her feelings at this young"(she's 16 I'm 15) and I said that it's kind of dumb if you know your bi or gay to hide it and she kind of just looked away and kind of had a guilty look on her face. So I really don't know, if you guys could give me some guidance it would be great.

I have been dating my boyfriend for over two years. We've been living together since August. I'm graduating from grad school in May. He will be attending grad school in Fall - place to be determined. We decided to move together where I can get a job and where he gets into grad school. We've talked long term - kids, buying a house, our lives together in 20 years, etc.

Saturday night we met another couple. The couple were wearing rings on their wedding ring finger. Yesterday, I made a comment to my boyfriend that I really want a ring and a ceremony of some sort as a commitment to one another. He responded that he thought it was too short of a time to know if he was ready to commit. That he wasn't out to his extended family and would have to take off his ring every time he went home.

How much time should I give him? Should I look past the fact that he doesn't want a ring as an outward sign of our love and look at our plans for our lives together?

My boyfriend of over two years has really wanted a threeway. He has always had that fantasy. I'm hesitant for fear of what it could do to our relationship. I've heard horror stories about the aftermath. I know he loves me. I know it would be meaningless sex. Should I still worry?

Christian zealots and other opponents of gay marriage argue that 'since the purpose of marriage is to produce children, and gays can't reproduce, they shouldn't be allowed to marry'. Fascianating- I have NEVER met any couple who married someone with the sole purpose being to produce offspring. People usually marry becuse they love each other.

I was recently married- my wife and I havn't decided if we'll ever have kids- If we choose not to have offspring, is our marriage less valid than a marriage that does produce offspring?

These same Christian zealots that bash gay marriage argue that the purpose of sex is for procreation alone. Does that mean that my wife and I should be celebate with each other if we choose not to kave kids?

I have noticed many right concervatives don't just disagree with homosexuality- many of them hold a personal hatred for gay people. Why? People are people- If 2 concenting adults of the same gender want to love each other- why do right wingers react to that love with hate? The depths of hatred and evil that come from the radical right never ceases to amaze me.
