I have noticed many right concervatives don't just disagree with homosexuality- many of them hold a personal hatred for gay people. Why? People are people- If 2 concenting adults of the same gender want to love each other- why do right wingers react to that love with hate? The depths of hatred and evil that come from the radical right never ceases to amaze me.

many people take homosexual bible passages out of context. they also think that by letting gays marry the whole marriage thing will be looked upon as silly and no one will have committment.

is that why brittney spears is allowed to marry?
YES

many of these right wing people are just jerks anyway, as long as two people seriously love each other then they should be allowed to be honored by the state in a union. DUH

but once again these right wing people just hate anything thats new or radical. they prolly hated blacks getting voting rights and women in the work place...

Your assumptions are wrong, so there is no answer to your question.

But tell me this; why are you such a hate-monger? Aren't you happy with your life? Why do you constantly blame all the problems of the world on groups of people you don't like? Prejudice and narrow-mindedness are not good qualities. I feel very sorry for you and hope you will get better someday. It's not that hard to be kind and considerate of others. Try it someday. It'll make you a more pleasant person to be around and it may even make you happier with your life.

Well I noticed you failed to mention it was the far right winders until the bottom of your comments.

BTW there are plenty of left wingers who disagree with homosexuality, which is why votes that come up on gay rights usually have a higher percentage against than for, considering the actual number of left and right wingers are pretty close to 50%-50%.

Anyhow to my point, I happen to be a "right winger", and I have zero problem with any one who is gay.

One of my best friends happened to have been gay and extremely left wing in fact.

Hell I used to play darts with a gay friend of mine at a gay pub. (no jokes please)

I have even vote in favor of gay marriage and so does my dad, brother and my best friend/brother (all are republicans and damn proud of it).

So I ask that you pick your words a little more carefully. yes there are bigots out there, but they come from both parties, not just the right. and believe it or not... it is true.

I am a right wing extremist, an I don't hate homosexuals, or anyone else. I have no problem telling you that homosexuality is wrong, just like stealing is wrong. I don't hate thieves.

I agree that hating a person is wrong. It is actions that we judge, not people. Don't confuse all right-wingers with the few that don't know the difference.

I think it's because some of them believe homosexuality is condemed in the Bible. My dad (who was raised a Baptist and Presbyterian) once told me homosexuality was a "stench in the nostrals of God"! He's dead now (my Dad, not God) And I wished I would have asked him what verse said that. I'm sure there isn't one. I think these people believe homosexuality is so evil, that it has to be stopped.

Many of them are fundamentalist Christians who refer to Biblical passages condemning homosexuality. That being said, though, I think that some of them are repressed homosexuals. A good example of this would be Ted Haggard.

if they would stay in the closet, no one would bother them
i cant speak for haters, but many people feel homosexuality is perversion, and an abomination to God.
knowing this, the homos parade and agitate and demand rights that they clearly do not deserve.
a backlash was bound to happen...

It's simply jealousy. The homophobes can't stand the fact that some humans can have and enjoy sex for reasons others than procreation since they were programmed not to themselves. It's very sad.

They see themselves as the "moral" backbone of society. Everything else that would require a liberation of attitudes is just plain "wrong"...

...of course who made them the arbiters of good taste and moral decency?
