I have noticed many right concervatives don't just disagree with homosexuality- many of them hold a personal hatred for gay people. Why? People are people- If 2 concenting adults of the same gender want to love each other- why do right wingers react to that love with hate? The depths of hatred and evil that come from the radical right never ceases to amaze me.

They feel that it's their job to "save" all of us from ourselves. Part of the reason for the hate, is that they hate what they can not understand. How a gay couple have a deep and meaningful relationship is beyond their mentality.

not me. i tend to lean right politically, but i also feel very strongly about equality and human rights.. i think it is just a myth that all righties seem to be religious and/or "traditional" when it comes to stuff like this. it's just the lefties using scare tactics to swing voter opinions.
i tend to agree with lower taxes, less government involvement/interferance, and the law of economic pronciples, but at the same time, i am a biseuxal transgenderist that feels strongly that we all need to be treated equally, regardless of sex, race, sexual orientation, etc..

They see themselves as the "moral" backbone of society. Everything else that would require a liberation of attitudes is just plain "wrong"...
