Dear, you are posting in the LGBT section. Guys mainly think about other guys here, and women about other women.
It has been a long, long time since I had my hair styled by a woman. No matter what the gender, I do not attribute a lot of "book" learning to a hairdresser - of either gender, but I do appreciate their artistic and cosmetology skills.

I really don't think so. I usually use a male hairdresser, but that's just a recent thing. Before I relocated, I always had my hair done by the same lady. I though she was very talented. Still do.

Never heard that. I prefer female hairdressers. I go in, tell her to do what she thinks will make me look my best, and I'm never sorry afterwards. That takes some common sense and brains in my opinion.
