Have you avoided someone you original express interest towards?

Sure, I believe we all have done that. People are fickle and our feelings or attractions for another person change, just like we do. We're all in a state of constant change. We try people on for awhile and sometimes it's just not a good fit. You move on and you meet someone that is a better fit or more suited to our own personality. If someone has avoided you or your doing the avoiding I don't think it's anything to feel bad about. It's just the normal course of getting to know people and realizing that it's not the best fit for you.

There is a cute book called, The Missing Piece by Shel Silverstein. You should check it out. I think you would find it interesting considering your question. It's a children's book but adults have understood and appreciated for many, many years. I was introduced to the author as a child but read the book as an adult.

If you are the one that someone is avoiding just realize that it's not necessarily a bad thing. There are so many people out there for us to meet and know that eventually we're all going to stumble upon someone that doesn't appreciate us or realize what a tremendous find we are!

I'm a shallow person. I'm always attracted to cute looks. Then I get closer and find out they're not as cute as I thought. Of course, then after I get to know them and get infected by their personality, which apparently also attracted me, I think they start to look cute again. Why I ultimately avoid someone in spite of it all is usually because of a sour personality that I just can't break through to. I don't really avoid anyone, I just decidedly lose interest in them.

I was smitten with a young guy I worked with once, short and cute as a bug, dimples and all, but I could never get anywhere with him. Then when he quit to move East I gave him a small potted cactus as a going away present. He wanted to know why, and I said "Three reasons." And immediately another co-worker said, "I know: because it's small, green and a prick!" Bingo.

you mean, why do some people express interest in you, and then lose interest? because you didn't keep their interest for some reason.

Yes, because she gained lot of weight. I believe in beauty both inside and out. Weight is the enemy of clear thinking and high living.
