How many times did he mention poverty? So why do conservative Christians not get furious every time they see a poor person and demand that something be done about poverty the way they do when the encounter a homosexual?

The first recorded use of the term homosexuality was in 1869 by Karl-Maria Kertbeny. It did not exist before this. This means that anytime this term is used in the Bible that it was placed there because of human flaw (one would hope it was a flaw and not hatred) in interpretation.
Homosexual acts of sex mentioned in the Bible are specifically linked to acts of worship in paganism (nature worship). Early Jews and Christians didn't want people to believe in pagan Gods and Goddesses and so they forbade their practices under their own religions.
These are all the excuses I've ever heard about why the Bible says homosexuality is wrong.

Why exactly do people need to drag the Bible into their hatred of people different from themselves?

Hey, my name is jewel and I wanted to know from one of you ladies point of view, what do you think. Do I look ok, should I try something different. I need to know. This is like the only place where I can get a real idea of how I look. I am a lesbian and I am 18. Based on my myspace picture, what do you think of me? Oh yeah, that is a mohawk. http://www.myspace.com/juelz1988

I just saw the cutest rings today and I'm thinking of getting them for me and my boyfriend (they'd make each of us remember that we are wanted and needed by our each other when we are apart)! I was just wondering what fingers should I get the rings for(obviously, the left hand ring finger is out of the question)? Do any other fingers have a meaning tied to them? Also, do you think it's cheesy to get promise rings?

Why is there such a fuss about penis size in the men's gay culture? Straight women don't seem to be that concerned about size.

ok i have a bf
im interested in this gal
she and i really clique very well, eg we always seem to agree alot on likes and dislikes, when im thinking of smting in a situation, we end up thinking about the same things
im not known to be bi or les
she is single, appears to be straight but i know she has lesbian friends ie, she dosnt get sick at the mere idea of the word lesbian

so what are my chances we might end up together, or at least some how either of us fess up about likin each other?
cos i do but i cld never dare to fess up to her, unless one day she like looks longingly into my eyes, or some other really obvious sign
and the way we are around each other, i feel sooooo like grabin her and huggin her and givin her a kiss, dont know if she feels the same, hoping and wishing each day she does and 1 day she acts on it..

what are my chances?

i feel that people are born with both. this is how you start out your life and the way that you see it. so when being color blind or not, we are taught the spectrum of colors. so for the color-blind person the red is actually grey.but to the rest of the world there grey is red.so how can we expect either one to understand what the other sees. neither is wrong, we just have to try to respect what they see.

tell me what you think.

I'm a single, sexually active gay man. I use a phone dating line and a couple of web sites to meet people.

I've noticed a lot of guys lately listing "body contact" as something they are into.

It seems odd that this just started popping up.

I assume if you're having sex your bodies must be in contact, right?

I know that most of them are referring to cuddling, massage etc.

If so, what? (Assuming they don't read YA, of course!)

I got this in my e-mail, and am strongly considering gettting my wife, a lover of both Hello Kitty and black cashmere, this sweater. (Wish I could afford the diamond pendant--that girl loves bling, too!)

please help.. if you are a christian - Please do not answer.. if you are not, please do not be insulting towards them..
My gf goes to church (i mean, not just attends.. she is pretty serious at times).. And I just want to get the thoughts of 'it's wrong' out of her head.. Because I know they are always there.. Even when we are making love.. And I know they drag strength and joy out of her.. and out of our relationship, which otherwise is so .. full of love..exciting.. intimate.. caring.. The problem is also that she is a very responsible person, and wouldnt give up the 'ministries' she does for her local church, because people depend on her.. For me, it means more or less constant brainwashing and exposure to what is 'righteous and good'... And her pushing me away.. What do I do....

I thought it was transvestites and trans-sexuals! He-Shes, and cross dressers. So what exactly is trans-gendered! Is this just a very confused pereon? I'm serious! It's like, we used to call midgets, midgets, and now we call them vertically challenged!
What's with all this political correctness crap?

(This is taken from an answer. And it made me wonder)
I often wonder why people don't. Is it because of the etho's that to declare oneself non-monogomous means that (and this in no way is my personal opinion, in fact so far from it its not funny) a person is "easy", "a man-whore" etc, or any other of the so-called mainstream's controlling language to denigrate people who have chosen to not be monogomous. Or is it something, to do with gay and lesbian people trying to advertise to the world, that they are moral upstanding citizens? And why, is a person who chooses to have more than one sexual partner somehow labelled immoral or wrong?

hi there, there was a guy i was dating for 2 weeks and i liked him very much. he showed me he is interested too so i did put some hope that it might develop into something more serious.

he became very silent in the few last days. became weird and we ddnt talk from then. he was kinda rude and ignoring me.

i felt sad and hurt

in these 2 weeks i was veryfaithfull to him even if we were not BF. while i found out from a lot of different ppl that in these 2 weeks or any other day, there was no day passed without him having minimum one person in his bed. that shocked me. couldnt stop my tears from falling. its been like 2 months now. 3 days ago i made a huge pool party in my house and over 70 person showed up, and between the crouds i saw him. How dare he comes to my house without invititaion from me. how dare he stay there and even ddnt say thnx or bye when he left. Such an a.ss.hole.
a day later after the party, i started crying, i couldnt really help it, GUYs, it hurts a lot.
