I am sure that there is some evidence out there - like maybe a clinical research study published in a peer-reviewed jounal, something like that. The reason I am sure that this evidence exists is because of all the people who keep insisting that being gay is a choice and that's why it is a sin. However, so far the only argument I've heard is: "God created Adam & Eve, not Adam & Steve." Which is terribly clever, or was the first time I heard it; but it sort of lacks that certain quality associated with rigorous scientific inquiry.

So, does anyone know where I can find this evidence? Or, if there isn't any actual published data, is there at least some anecdotal evidence? Do you know someone who claims to be gay by choice? For that matter, do you know anyone who is gay?

If you have no evidence, no anecdotes, and don't even personally know anyone who is gay, then where the hell are you getting your information? Did God tell you personally?

What are the signs of a man who is secretly gay? I am not even sure if HE is admitting it. What are some things to watch out for? He is a married man, has kids, but his wife is having suspitions that he is gay. Just little things he does and says. How can she know for sure. She has asked and ofcourse he says his is not, but she still suspects. This is a very good friend of mine and she loves him, but really needs to know for sure.

In an interview done by 60 minutes

(1) people are born gay/les. this is not only due to their sexual behaviour but their physiological attributes like the way they move and talk. Generally a gay is more efeminated whereas lesbians are more masculine.

(2)the level of hormone exposure while the baby is still in the womb also helps to determine a person's sexual orientation.

(3)the more older brothers a guy has the more likely he's gay but this does not apply to lesbians who have more older sisters. However this only applies to guys who are born right handed. (there is a strong correlation but this theory is yet to be proven).

(4) But there are several cases where identical twins, one of them is straight and the other one is gay. So how did this happen?

I want to know what you think on the above matter. you can choose to answer one or all four questions.

Things I've discovered?
Well this isn't a question so if you want your two points go for them.

A. when you say religious people don't condemn things like anal sex and what not, you really have no idea what you're talking about a Theology class would be good for you, as for people in that religion, they are called Hypocrites, the faith however is pure.

B. for such a "group of open and understanding people" that criticize straight people for not going out with transsexuals the same really seems to apply to you all here, so evidently that makes many of you hypocrites as well. My two cents worth for the day, feel free to make any comments you feel necessary.

I noticed that people talk about gay and lesbians as just a part of the younger generation just like they do the movies, fashion and drinking. Like college vacations, etc.
So, what do they do when they can no longer function like they use to.

First-I am gay. Second, it seems that many people in the community find it hard to accept those who think differently than they do. ESPECIALLY when it comes to politics. I know many gay kids on campus and gay adults in the big city gay areas who demand that the world accept them for who they are, but they do accept other gays who are fat, conservative, or are not rainbow flag waving queers. Why is this?

It seems like a cop out to me. It's also odd that gender studies and gay studies people use it because it seems to me that the term implies that there is something wrong with homosexuality but it is okay to be romantic with women and then have sex with men. I dun't get it!

OK i'm sooo shy when it comes to talking to girls. I'm bisexual and have a boyfriend so he usually introduces me. But seriously when I'm out and about I get so nervous to approach a cute girl. I guess I'm afraid that she is not going to be bi, react badly and reject me. How can I get over this?

Do people who say homosexuality isn't normal, because it's impossible to procreate natrually (without adoption or other means) realize how hypocritical they are being?

If homosexuality isn't normal because it doesn't cause procreation, then that means PROTECTED sex wouldn't be considered normal, and oral sex wouldn't be considered norma.

Sex is for your enjoyment, and people have been doing everything from gay to straight for so long I think it's ALL normal. It's just there's a stupid stigma in todays society about it.

Does anyone agree?

I'm a gay male, not bi at all, and I've met 2 women in my life who I felt attracted to. Turned out, they were both rather butch lesbians, and I'm guessing I was attracted to their "inner guy"
On Queer Eye for the Trans Guy, Myles was kinda cute, and I'd have considered dating him.
Just wanted to know if the reverse was ever true.

Alright I am female 28 and I have a neighbor that I am very attracted to, the problem is I can't even talk to her I'm pretty sure she is a lesbian. She probably wouldn't even think that I'm interested because I have always been with guys but I have been attracted to women also. So my question is how do I get to know her better? Furthermore, she is a teacher and I'm kind of the wild, partying type which doesn't help matters either!
