I'm not presumptive. There's a stereotype, so I'd like to get an idea who might actually be answering with knowledge. It's pretty simple really.

Oh, and my experience is that it's a whole lot less than the answers so far. I'm gay by the way.

Straight lady here :). I wouldn't presume to put a number to it, but I think it's really low. It makes me think of all the anti-homosexuality idiots out there who talk about flamers and butch dykes. They see someone who is "obviously" gay and they think if you're gay that's what you look like, period. They pass people on the street every day who are gay and never know it because they don't fit their version of the stereotype. They work with them and don't have a clue. They'd be shocked if they knew just how many gays live in their community. They'd be shocked because they're wallowing in stupid assumptions. People can be such morons about these things. My sis is gay and she's femme, she looks like Suzy Homemaker. I'm the one who runs around looking well...less than feminine lol. If you put us next to each other and asked one of the haters which one of us was gay, they would no doubt point to me with complete assurance. Lord, I can't stand stereotyping, it grates on my damn nerves.

i'm Jewish and my truthful opinion is which you adult males have a hard direction earlier to you. Judaism and Catholicism characterize profoundly diverse theologies, and this is going to reason issues, extraordinarily in case you have infants. Will you like them baptised - no Jewish relatives will want that. Will you compromise to have bar or bat mitzvahs? i exploit those in simple terms for occasion. to respond to your question: i think of i could take a seat with my different 0.5 and have an exceptionally candid communication, all enjoying cards on the table. you may desire to be certain, now, how plenty room if any there is for that awful word: compromise. of direction, while you're the two particularly non secular, there might nicely be no compromise. maximum Jewish mothers and fathers do wish that their infants marry interior the religion, for the easy reason that we characterize this form of tiny team, some thing like 0.01% of the worldwide inhabitants. could or not it fairly is in any respect useful for you and your lady chum to have a communication with a Rabbi and/or a clergyman? I choose you good fortune. basically you recognize how plenty you like this female and no count if the two one among you could take care of the problems that this occasion is going to modern-day you the two with. EDIT TO THE DUDE - we at the instant are no 'extra suited' with money than non Jews. end believing and spreading such foolishness. EDIT TO MIKE ok - Jews are allowed to force etc on shabbat if it fairly is to help somebody who's sick. we are allowed to do something we would desire to on shabbat if the undertaking at stake is a guy or woman's well being.

I can only speak for myself. I would not know a gay woman by appearances. I met my partner at our office and only began to realize that we were "in love" after about two and a half years.
I lost my darling Gwen to a cancer while I was away.I am now looking for women friends, gay or straight, who will accept me for who I am. Perhaps I am wrong. I met a woman the other day who, after a short conversation said " You lesbians are ugly, especially old ones. Get yourself put down".
Must sign off,getting upset again

At least half and growing. i am a girl and I am straight. Yeah my avatar is a boy, but only because you have to admit this dude looks really cool. And plus, females are niceer to you when they think you're a guy (only on the internet). Most aren't mean when I ask questions.

Interesting question. I guess, about 75% of gay people are obvious to the world. I am a lesbian, but im not obvious to the world. I get men trying to ask me out all the time- I love telling them that i date women only...its great. As for my appearance: I consider myself more of a femme than a dyke. but i dont wear make up all the time, i love flat shoes- just recently cut my hair short and occaisionally wear loose fitting clothes... Please, do tell me where i fit.
I love boyish lesbians, girly girls dont really do it for me... but, again, it depends on my mood...

It's probably more of a percentage than gay men (which I am) are. There are more men "in the closet" then there are women.
