I've been shopping today and as usual when in the local garden centre I look for half dead plants. They are always reduced and then I fetch them home to try and rescue them. I don't know which gives me the most pleasure, the fact that I had a bargain or that they survive because of my tender care and I have such a pretty garden. I would never be able to afford to pay for so many plants if I had to pay full price.
So my question is what in your view has been your biggest bargain recently? Thanks for answering x

there r so many thing americans dont know:

1. Allah is not a god we worship, Allah is God in arabic.
2. Muslims are not supposed to commit suicide so those terrorists are going straight to hell for doing that.
3. Slavery is forbidden
4. Homosexual acts are forbidden.
5. These terrorists r a bunch of retards and they r going against islam by doing wat they do.
6. Islam is the only religion that isnt named after the founder which means it isnt a man-made religion. (not trying to offend ppl from other religions here)

to make a long story short, those terrorist r not true muslims.

Seriously why would parents throw a huge fit and disown their kids just becuase of their sexual orientation. Why would they care who they are attracted to. Isn't this ridiculous. Teens shouldn't have to face that kind of abuse. Parents that are just hateing bigots shouldn't be parents!

A question I asked earlier http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AiplmRe.oVd1Kd6o8CCVWVr07BR.?qid=20070619111705AAkvqRM suggested that gay people have no lack of rights compared with straight people. I disagree, but I'm curious what rights others find in their own jurisdictions are available to straight people that gay people cannot take advantage of.

Reverse racism implies that one skin color doing the discriminating is somehow on another level than the other color. Racism is racism, regardless of the race doing the discriminating. Racism is not a one way street.

I'm not saying that racism doesn't occur towards whites, because obviously it does. I'm saying that "racism" is the term that should be used in this instance, lest we construct more barriers between people of different skin colors.

I have always loved to travel and have been to most counties. although I know how to relate to my host in any country, I always feel a little superior in a kindly way, like with americans for eg, me the adult them the small child, where do we get this from? is this the bulldog spirit that made us the most formidable fighting force in history? that entitles us to look down on other people.

Nice replies please, this is written with my tongue in my left cheek

why do white men think black women want to be accepted by them. in my experiences, only a FEW black women exclusively date white men. yeah, yeah, yeah, i know race doesn't matter as long as you love the person inside, but i just get the feeling that most white men think black women want to be loved and adored by them and i'm here to tell you THAT IS JUST NOT TRUE. btw, i'm not black nor am i racist..

Don't intolerant people know that the more intolerant the society is of gays, the more likely gays will continue to be among them? (supposing it's true that homosexuality is at least PARTLY due to genes)

My Grandma belongs to the Episcopal Church. I am not against homosexuality outright – free county 'n all. How can we have an outwardly spoken homosexual Bishop leading spiritual leaders, while in the bible they teach from specifically speaks against homosexuality in the Book of Leviticus (“If a man lies with a man as a man lies with a woman, he hath committed an abomination and shall surely be put to death” – specifically.)?

...songs by Edith Piai - anyone heard of her? There is a movie on her - La En Vie Rose currently. Some of her greatest hits were written by herself. Her life story from a blurb on the movie - " From the slums of Paris to the limelight of New York, Edith Piaf’s life was a battle to sing and survive, live and love. Raised in poverty, Edith’s magical voice and her passionate romances and friendships with the greatest names of the period - Yves Montand, Jean Cocteau, Charles Aznavour, Marlene Dietrich, Marcel Cerdan and others - made her a star all around the world. But in her audacious attempt to tame her tragic destiny, the Little Sparrow - her nickname - flew so high she could not fail to burn her wings."

You can listen to some snippets of her song at this link -

Songs and music stay with us, don't they? They are so evocative - a time of one's life gone by, a peephole into one's memories come alive again......................
