We are very progressive here, and as many people know, gay marriage is legal everywhere in Canada; so, yes, we are very open about PRIDE. The Toronto PRIDE events are the biggest in Canada, and last year the attendance was well over one million, and this year we're hoping for an even greater turnout. This is a huge tourist draw, too, and people come from all over to participate and to have fun.
Here are articles about this:

I think it depends on where you are at. I was just in a Pride Parade a few weeks ago .... There were some protesters ... it was minimal. They were all first-cousins and married to each other .. atleast that's what I came up with.
It was HUGE fun!
You wouldn't want to go to Moscow though. A few or so weeks back the lead singer for Right Said Fred got in a tussle at Moscow Pride. I guess he was too sexy for his short after all!
