I am gay! New to the scene! what should i do?

First, by being out. Drop a little mention of "a guy I dated last year" (I'm assuming you're a gay man -- please accept my apology if I assumed wrong!) even if you haven't dated much. Or talk about gay films you've seen, carry the GLBT paper, wear pride buttons on your bag, put pro-diversity bumper stickers in your office, etc. This helps you to find queer people in the general community.
Second, find queer events in your community. Look on craigslist or similar. You might be able to find a choir to join or a church/temple with a large queer membership. Bars and restaurants are a good place to start if that's your scene. Or the queer bookstore.

Simply be yourself. Many gay people hide -- at least tacitly. If you do not (that does not mean you have to be extreme -- just be open and loving to everyone and don't deny what you are) you will quickly find you have gay friends.
After that it is easy.

Scene? I never thought of being gay as being a scene I must admit, and I've been out since I was 14 - which is a lot of years.

Go up to em and say are u gay? cuz youre f^cking hot! Not really but that's what I wanna say to cute guys. You'll probably learn how to do it better the more experienced you get. Do you like the girly guys or the manly guys? Cuz the girly ones should be really obvious unless its the str8ish ones u like (i like those) yeah i have a problem with those too. I'd have to say study em a lot and see if they have a gayish mannerism that exposes their orientation. Or jus go up and ask em lol. Good luck!

Gaydar--a gay vibe you will get from people that gets more accurate with time and experience. You just have to be around Gay people to learn the signs there are lots of sterotypes but as with all steroypes there are exceptions.

best way is to go to gay friendly places or gay parts of a town to find gay people. gay.com always has a list of activities in many cities
