i'd have to go with the snobbery that is so high with gay men, especially the rich, queeny types that work in expensive clothing and perfume stores, it's not their feminity that I don't like, it's the meanness I don't.

I also hate this homo-thug crap. It'd be nice to go to a nightclub with a bunch of those hanging around.

The ignorance within our own community.
The perpetuation of stigmas and stereotypes that we place on ourselves and allow the straight community to continue to use against us.
The idea that gay couples don't stay together. Sure it happens, we all know it...but it's the WHY that bothers me.
The fact that our own community doesn't see that we have low expectations of the perminancy of our own couples because we're told over and over again by the straight community that our relationships don't matter, that they aren't due ligitimacy or recognition. That our relationships are only ever based solely on sex and not love or trust.
So, we see gay/lesbian couples just give up. We see a "why bother" attitude...that really frustrates me.

My partner and I have never cheated on each other or any previous partners. It's not who we are. We've worked hard to keep our relationship strong and to squash the stereotypes. But for what? When our own community doesn't even support our relationship or their own.

I'm too skeptical of media coverage to believe that what shows up in The Advocate, The Blade, or Planet Out represents our community. Many things are portrayed as standards that are simply opinion.

But that said, the continued "in-the-closet" lives of so many gay people strikes me as the most frustrating aspect. People who insist on living double lives are harming the development of gay rights in EVERY community on the planet. If people knew how many gay people were around, they wouldn't jail or kill us, because they would be jailing or killing their own sons & daughters, brothers & sisters, fathers & mothers.

Seeing people trade partners so much and not being committed. No one wants to talk about the cheating that goes on, but it is rampant. I've had people get really mad at me for even bringing it up, but we all know it's happening!

I'd have to go with the people who claim their sexuality is a choice, rather than acknowledging that they were born a certain way and can't just choose a way out of it.

when people speak without thinking.

it is easy to lash out against someone that is being hateful. Unfortunately, we often do ourselves a disservice by not taking the high road.

People who go around saying that they were born "that way"...
That's annoying as hell...

don't get me wrong... I'm a 5-star gay guy (never been with a girl)... but claiming genetics is the reason for homosexuality really shows that most people don't have a grasp on the research done... (not that any of it is conclusive)...

Also the inability of people to commit... That sucks...

I heard that the shortage of "love goats" has "Indy T" and "Wide Awake" in a manic-depressive stupor.
