Most powerful earthquakes
Each increase of 1 point on the Richter scale represents an increase of x 10 in the disturbance and a release of 30 times more energy. The smallest measurable events release energy in the order of 20J (equivalent to dropping a brick from a table top) - the most powerful recorded earthquake released energy equivalent to the simultaneous detonation of 50 of the most powerful nuclear bombs!

There is this annual event called Relay for Life that raises money for cancer research. This is my first year being a captain for one of the teams that are raising money. Does anyone have any ideas for ways my team and me can raise money before and or at our designated booth at the event? [outlets are a problem, so anything not needing an outlet please]

I have a small computer desk, home PC (with hard drive files already shredded), LOTS of clothes, books, etc that I would like to donate. Since I have a small car I would need the organization to offer pick up service.

I have already researched the amount of work involved, but I am unsure of how much potential for money is there because of all the costs involved. I am trying to raise money for a charity.

Okay, we're raising money for a charitable foundation, and we need good ideas. We already have done (and can't do again):

A raffle
Bake sales
Dress down day (where we can wear whatever we want if we pay like 3 dollars, instead of wearing a uniform)

We're already thinking of doing:
A movie night in the auditorium
An after school story time for little kids

Yeah. So anything other than those things, please list 'em! I'll give best answer to the person that gives the most ideas that I actually decide to use, so list as many as you can think, even if you htink they sound stupid. Oh, and the school goes from nursery to eighth grade, so all age group related activities work! Thank you!

Aiken, Milano, Glover. etc... These issues they talk about are not new, it's been happening since before some of us were born. But why is it, we as a whole, not the individual find it neccessary to want to change the world and help out with the cause when some of the biggest names in the industry get involved. Now everyone has a solution in fact some of their questions have 3000 answers worth of solutions. What is it that when a celebrity jumps up and says "join this cause" that triggers people minds and hearts, instead of an average joe asking you to do the same?

I would like to belong to some charity organization, but I don't know how to do it, I would like to be part of a charity that goes to hospitals and helps kids with cancer and stuff like that. I live in Los angeles, so any organization that is local, but is known for doing a lot of good work is great. Thank you.

Do you hate it when someone parks next to you and is too close? Why do people dissrespect us like that? Don't they know that we are people too and need our space? What do you do when this happens to you? Would you do it again?
