Who said that any of you were bad? Some of the news that came out later about how Katrina victims (especially black ones) were treated at the time is truly shocking.

I'm surprised that nobody seems to have organised the Katrina victims into one voice, because it seems to the rest of the world that you've been forgotten about. I know that you were scattered all over the USA - some people haven't even found their relatives yet - but surely someone should be using the Internet to create an organised voice that could, for example, make life challenging for the various Presidential nominees. Perhaps that person could be you? and then see whether you can enlist some support. With Spike Lee's movie having recently been released 'When the Levees Broke' I would think that you have a good opportunity to make your case and heaven knows it's time to start.

Try turning up at your local church with a sign saying 'Inasmuch as you have done this to the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.'

It was a terrible thing that happened to the Katrina survivors and I hate what they had to endure. I think that most people are strong and have started new lives for themselves now.

No I don't think so. If however, you don't learn from the experience and move back to where it floods, then you deserve every bit of it when it floods again. And it WILL flood again. It's only a matter of time.
