It's absolutely destroying our society, since this country is built on godly princples which prohibits prostitution by all means. If this form of prostitution com=ntinues in America, this country will fall by means of Sodom and Gomorrah by means of judgement, so as a society we need to repent or America will be greatly judged.

Read the book of Romans, 1 Corinthians, James, and Revelation for more information.

Good luck.

First, the clique: Prostitution is the oldest profession in the world. I'm not sure of the literal truth of this but it certainly has been around a long time, survived periods of political and social suppression and is certainly very likely to go on the way it always has. Religious intolerance towards it, while at least in part, of good intention has failed to change the minds and hearts, ( and libidos,) of many. One reason for this is perhaps the historical lack of sensitivity towards the victims - (usually) the prostitutes themselves. To answer your question, yes it does both. On one hand it provides the psycho-sexual outlet for clients that they cannot find in other social institutions. It provides an income for many that cannot be otherwise obtained for any number of reasons including a lack of skills that would allow them into the job market, if in their country there is a job market at all. On the other hand when prostitution is practised in unsafe ways there follows pandemics of STDs which can be transferred to the rest of the population and not just through sexual transference. So, I think a balanced answer to your question is needed : Don't suppress prostitution, educate and provide alternatives to their occupation. Also, when we damn prostitution we should not damn the victims of the profession. We don't know all their stories but many are heartrendering.

Prostitution as a regulated and legalized industry is said to add revenues to certain countries, but in countries where it is considered immoral and criminal, it eats on the moral fiber of the society. Prostitution is an inverse measure of the country's economic viability. If women and its people can find enough resource or job to support one self or family, and the people are sexually and socially mature, prostitution becomes a poor choice and need not exist.

Anything that damages family or self is destructable whether we want to admit it or not. There are other things that damage society including prostitution. Disease becomes a major issue but also what it does to the clients and also what it does to the mental, health and spiritual side of the seller.

in certain countries, prostitution is legal coz it
will reduce the criminal rate, of rape cases.

there's th egood and bad, i guess.
in poor ountries, it's really hard to control the number of brothels they have in the country, coz a lot of times,
the young girls are exploited to work in that kind of industry.
It's sad too, coz it is definitely not a wish to sleep with strangers..!!

Reasons could be due to :
- they need fast money.
- they are exploited
- they lack education.

whatever it is , there is a reason, always!!
