It was 12 to 1 in terms of being happy! I think this is true!

YAY!!!!!

My pastor tells me to ignore sinners and concentrate on the church.

I'm thinking about Mike Huckabee and just waiting for the call upwards. I cry a lot, with tears of joy. Soon, I will be playing doubles tennis in heaven with Bjorn Bjorg!!!!

Was it as soon as he was born, during his lifetime, after he died etc...
and whatever time it was, isn't this unfair on the people nearby who lived in Israel who hadn't heard of Jesus YET. and also on those who lived in Australia or other far of countries etc... who had never heard Jesus' message until the 1800s?

If so... there is no scientific proof for the soul and yet you believe? Why do you believe that it exists?

I have asked countless questions here, trying to find out how these people tick and have been put down, reported and received many strange answer that had nothing to do with my question.
Just watch, there will be some hatred and comedy from both sides here, but guess who will strike with the most venom?
Still, no relevant answer, never get one I guess.

A few days ago I asked "How can a person commit an heinous heartwrenching crime?". Quite a few commented that it was due to mental illness. As if the person was not in control of their actions, or the mental illness took away all reason. However when it comes to lesser crimes, some people say that the person had a choice free will.

So what is the difference? Is a criminal act so unimagineble that people cannot fathom why a person would do such thing, so it must be due to mental illness. If a criminal act is bad, but not as bad then the person had a choice/ free will?

Please explain.

I've been smoking for over 2 years, and I know I should stop. I asked God to give me a sign on wether I should stop or not, and I already know what the answer is, but I wanted to know God was there. So I asked him if he would give me a sign to wether or not I should stop smoking, and within 20 minutes my pastor told everyone to lift out their hands to give their addictions away to God. I am still unsure if this was a sign or not, but it really made me think.

I am not referring to professional relationships. Indeed, to take one example, barristers are required to address one another by surname only. I accept too that when a person has died and passed into history courtesy titles are superfluous, and it is normal to refer to him as "Mozart", "Napoleon" or "Shakespeare". I am referring to the habit which has insidiously crept into journalism over recent years of referring to all and sundry by surname only without any form of courtesy title. It sounds so discourteous, especially when a callow young newscaster is referring in this dismissive way to a distinguished older person, perhaps a noted academic, or a public figure such as a president.

Who has ever read the Book of Mormon, and if you haven't - why not? It is a testament of Jesus Christ just like the Bible, and a good read if nothing else.

Not sure if this is proper etiquette or not. I am not a regular Starbucks drinker, but I did receive a gift card for Christmas. I was hoping to treat myself this morning but my son fell asleep in the car. I didn't want to carry him in (he's almost 3) so I skipped my Starbucks treat.

In hindsight, I figured everyone else pays via credit or gift card in the drive-throughs. I'm not big on fast food either, so when I plan to use a drive through, I make sure to have cash.

Opinions or comments? Is it acceptable to use a gift card in the drive through?

The day before Christmas there was an empty crib under the green Christmas tree, no presents, and some cookies and warm milk on an end table.

On Christmas day, there was a crib with Jesus Christ in it, presents, and only cookie crumbs and an empty milk glass on the end table.

Does this mean that Santa Claus was here and delivered baby Jesus to the crib?

You know...

When a believer in a religion tries to "logically" (giggle giggle) prove that there's actual justification in becoming a part of their belief system.

or

When an atheist has no respect for religion and attempts to make arguments against it without having ever studied or experienced it?

I'm atheist and all but when I disprove a piece of a religion (you can only argue pieces since it is impossible to prove or disprove an entire religion) I at least do a google search and read up on it. Now I fall guilty to being a bigot at times too of course.

But I just wanna try to bring this to light, do any of you fall on either side and which one?

Pople Pius XII, remained criminally neutral even after being asked not to for the own "moral prestige" of the Church.....

On September 18, 1942, Pius received a letter from Monsignor Montini (future Pope Paul VI), saying, "the massacres of the Jews reach frightening proportions and forms."[65] Later that month, Myron Taylor, U.S. representative to the Vatican, warned Pius that the Vatican's "moral prestige" was being injured by silence on European atrocities — a warning which was echoed simultaneously by representatives from Great Britain, Brazil, Uruguay, Belgium, and Poland[80] — the Cardinal Secretary of State replied that the rumors about genocide could not be verified.[81] In December 1942, when Tittman asked Cardinal Secretary of State Maglione if Pius would issue a proclamation similar to the Allied declaration "German Policy of Extermination of the Jewish Race," Maglione replied that the Vatican was "unable to denounce publicly particular atrocities."[82]
