Pople Pius XII, remained criminally neutral even after being asked not to for the own "moral prestige" of the Church.....

On September 18, 1942, Pius received a letter from Monsignor Montini (future Pope Paul VI), saying, "the massacres of the Jews reach frightening proportions and forms."[65] Later that month, Myron Taylor, U.S. representative to the Vatican, warned Pius that the Vatican's "moral prestige" was being injured by silence on European atrocities — a warning which was echoed simultaneously by representatives from Great Britain, Brazil, Uruguay, Belgium, and Poland[80] — the Cardinal Secretary of State replied that the rumors about genocide could not be verified.[81] In December 1942, when Tittman asked Cardinal Secretary of State Maglione if Pius would issue a proclamation similar to the Allied declaration "German Policy of Extermination of the Jewish Race," Maglione replied that the Vatican was "unable to denounce publicly particular atrocities."[82]

Don't forget that without catholic financing Hitler never would have gotten started, and many of his henchmen ran off to Argentina after the war. (The ones that didn't come and start the CI A)

In October 1958 in front of the at the United Nations General Assembly, Golda Meir, the Prime Minister of Israel, said of Pope Pius XII at his death :

''During the 10 years of Nazi terror, when our people went through the horrors of martyrdom, the Pope raised his voice to condemn the persecutors and commiserate with their victims.''

No serious scholar contests the evidence that Pius XII took direct and indirect measures to save Jews from the Nazi death machine.

At the start of World War II, Pope Pius XII’s first encyclical was so anti-Hitler that the Royal Air Force and the French air force dropped 88,000 copies of it over Germany. Here is a link to the Summi Pontificatus: Encyclical of Pope Pius XII on the Unity of Human Society, October 20, 1939: http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/pius_xii/encyclicals/documents/hf_p-xii_enc_20101939_summi-pontificatus_en.html

Unfortunately the Soviet Union and others had been trying to convince the world that the Catholic Church was pro-Nazi since the death of Pope Pius in 1958. Here are some sources:

See also "The Myth of Hitler’s Pope: How Pope Pius XII Rescued Jews From the Nazis" by Rabbi David G. Dalin which has compiled further overwhelming proof of Pope Pius XII"s friendship for the Jews beginning long before he became pope.

first of all learn the facts the jewish community recognized pope for his efforts in rescuing jews during the nazi reign.the pope was one of the first world leaders to publicly speak against hitler.one of the reasons this myth has been allowed to propigate is the misconseption that the church took no action. the pope had to act with discretion knowing that millions of lives hung in the balance ,so many of the actions he took where covert.many a person owes their lives to the courage of the catholic clergy. the book pope fiction is an exellent source of info on this subject.

Your question has no validity and it's wording is manipulated with your own hatred toward the church.
You should be ashamed of yourself to add the majority of fabrications to your pseudo-chant!
When you post a document, post the complete link, not a story out of context.

During WW2 the Vatican was "COMPLETELY" surrounded by germans, entrance and exit of all clergy was only allowed through the authority of the germans.
The Vatican did not have any power to dictate anything, fear was self-evident.
Our church was hanging on by a thread, we were walking on rice paper for years (temporary prison).
The English were frightened they would be overrun, how do you think the Vatican felt?
The only reason the Vatican was not taken is because the grace of our Lord would not allow it.

More than enough.

I only wish we could admonish the Americans for not joining the War until they themselves were attacked.

Until then, they were pretty complacent themselves. Rather disgusting, actually.

Especially now, since they keep trying to rewrite history and go on and on about how they helped to liberate the Jews, like that had anything to do with why they actually joined in the war!

Germany was exterminating Jews . The pope did not speak out against it . Not speaking out is not a criminal offense . Sure , it was totally wrong , but not criminal .

It seems to me that not too many people are talking about the complicity of the Catholic church during the holocaust anymore.

Pius xii engineered the Holocaust. Hitler was the machinery.

While you don't hear much lately about complicity, things that cause it to make news are that various people who were quite complicit who keep getting praised and beatified by the church.

Sure and now it is time to move on to the church hiding sexual predators in robes, pretending to be all pious.
Great image for any cult trying to recruit new suckers..., er, I mean members.
