I have been doing some research and I had someone direct me toward the old Sumerian beliefs. I am amazed at the number of things the Judaism systems took directly from the Sumerian belief systems. In some facets it is as if the only thing they changed was from many gods to just one god.

i remember reading about when he went to the temple/church and they were throwing lots and selling stuff like a flea market and crap.. and he got angry and yelled at them all.. and flipped over tables, messing up the temple/church.. it just seems like everyone (the people that report you) is to politically correct and sissified these days.. doesnt it say that jesus is coming back with sword and fire? or was it lollypops and kool-aid?

Its seams globaly it causes war, division and hatred among mankind.

I was going to a Church conference called ihop, I'm sure many of you have heard of it. Anyways I've been smoking for over 2 years now, and I was planning to do a few over there. (Yeah I know shame on me.) Yet the day the plane took off I got the flu and couldn't go, and I found out a couple of my friends that went got caught smoking on the first day there, and there parents have been notified about it. Do you think there was a reason for my sickness.

P.S. - If you want to judge me on my smoking habits, go ahead. It won't accomplish anything, but if it makes you feel better go ahead and shoot.

He's a raging alcoholic and lives in a tent in my scary neighbor's back yard. He shoveled my walk this morning (it's been snowing a lot here lately) and I'm wondering how to thank him without encouraging him to do anything else for me. I live alone and he already gives me too much attention as it is. I'd prefer to ignore it but feel this is rude and he's still a human being. I am unemployed and can't really pay him, and wouldn't want to anyway since he'd buy more alcohol with it. Not sure what to do here.

I just thought it was easier than sending two cards to everyone. We live together and it just made more sense that way. His (and my) family seem to be reading more into it than there is. He took some convincing before he let me do it too. Do I just not get this hidden meaning behind it?

anyone can comment on this one, if you are an atheist, Christian or Muslim etc., put your beliefs to the side for a second, and think is it possible. this is a theoretical discussion so no point of proving anything from scripts. If some say that people commit crimes because of mental illness, bad upbringings, etc.; all reasons that are not the fault of the criminal. Then does that mean that some criminals are innocent? If humans are a governed by their DNA, and humans cannot control their DNA then why blame people for things that they are not in control of? So which is strong DNA and your rearing; or your free will? Is our fates layed out the moment we are born, and the formative years (ones that are shaped by our parents and surroundings) are finished and irrevesible when we are tots?

Since God as you always claim is a merciful one, why can't He just welcome us all and let us enter His kingdom? You say that He said to "love the sinner and hate the sin." So why if we sin, we are thrown in hell? Is throwing us in hell loving us? If He loves us why should we be thrown in hell for eternity for the sins we made in this finite life?
You always say that His love is unconditional. But why are there conditions for us to go to heaven?
Is it hard for Him to accept the fact that we are not perfect like Him (as you claim)?
Why should we believe Him to have his gifts? I know many fathers whose sons don't recognize them and even think of them as a disgrace.But still, these fathers love their sons fully and still give them their part of the inheritance. Why can't your God just be like them and accept us all in His heaven?

Most men here in America will not date Black women at all, I get very jealous of Hispanic, White and Asian women because these types of women are lighter skin and get the most men atteantion. I'm black woman and I have a light complextion but My skin tone is consider to be dark to other Ethnic groups and etc. things. Sometimes I get stare at by these kind of people.
