i remember reading about when he went to the temple/church and they were throwing lots and selling stuff like a flea market and crap.. and he got angry and yelled at them all.. and flipped over tables, messing up the temple/church.. it just seems like everyone (the people that report you) is to politically correct and sissified these days.. doesnt it say that jesus is coming back with sword and fire? or was it lollypops and kool-aid?

Jesus got angry because the system for acquiring animals for sacrifice had been corrupted and was set up to cheat people. That's why He said "you have turned My Father's house into a den of thieves". Also, where the money changers and animal sellers were set up was disruptive to people trying to worship. Yes, Revelations does state something about Jesus coming back with sword and fire, I don't remember lollypops or kool-aid, but maybe He's saving that for those who have done right?

Yes, he did get angry. The example of his fury in the temple at the fact that the temple was being desecrated by having merchants in it is perfect. I *think* that's the only example in the Bible, though. I'm sure he felt anger more often, just didn't lose his temper the way he did that time.

When he comes again, it won't be riding a unicorn and handing out lollipops under a rainbow.

There's a difference between anger, and righteous indignation. The scriptures do say we can be angry, and not sin. It also says the wrath of man does not work the righteousness of God. You don't turn the other cheek when you're standing up for what is right in God's will.

Yes, Jesus did get angry, but He didn't sin. The bible even tells us that we can get angry, it's a healthy emotion when used correctly. "Be angry , but sin NOT."

Jesus came the first time as a suffering servant. When He comes back to earth again , it will be as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

In between that time and then, we are offered salvation thru trusting in the finished work on the Cross to reconcile us to God. If you wait for His second trip to the earth, it will be too late. TODAY is the day of salvation. Today God offers forgiveness and the FREE GIFT of righteousness thru the performance of Christ on your behalf. Without it, NO ONE will enter heaven.

Don't YOU want to be assured that you will be taken OUT of this world before the "do do hits the fan?"

IF so....consider trusting Christs death , burial and resurrection as all you need and be saved.

yes, and to those who are offended by an angry God... i am sorry that God being holy, must reproach sin and ultimately judge it. for without the judgement of sin, there is no victory in the Lord.

and yes, His first coming was as an helpless infant, as a lamb being led to the altar.

but when He comes again, He'll do it with the flame, and the incredible power which preceeds His words. His second coming is as a lion, roaring from His judgement against those who have not repented of sin. He'll trample down the wicked to get to the throne of david.

Yes. He drove the money changers from the temple with a whip.
I have a feeling He might be a bit upset with some tv evangelists and preachers who use His people to feather their nests.

Yes He is coming back as The Lion of Judea-not the babe in the manger or the pitiful crucified Christ.
The Word says "be angry and yet do not sin."
We ARE to be angry at injustice and anything that is against Gods word--But this does not give us liberty to be uncouth or belligerent. We are to try to stop the wrong, and yet love and pray for those doing the wrong.
Yet tho we were still sinners, God loved us.
forgive our trespasses, AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US!!!
If we don't show Christian kindness--Who Will (the atheists?)
Those with out love ,DON'T KNOW GOD.

Yes, Jesus got angry and yes, He is coming back as a warrior king, but He will never lift a hand in battle, He will only open His mouth and speak words of truth.

I don't have an answer but that "lollipops and kool-aid" thing is by far the funniest thing I've heard today. It sounds like something you'd hear on Family Guy. Thank you for giving me the much needed lift for today.

yes he got angry in the temple because of the deceit and lies going on there, and yes when he returns it will be as a conqueror, but the word love is used more in the Bible than any other word so as christians we need to love people more than be angry or lord over them
