Is this an actual question as to yourself, or for the fullfillment of contributing to the forum, because you already answered yur own question. You obviously know the difference btween believing in GOD and not, i.e. an Atheist. If you truly do not know, I would say get into your bible and read. GOD has placed within everyone, a desire to seek and know HIM, those that refuse, usually end up leading very bitter, unsatisfactory lives, because the void within them is not filled. Sure, you may find a temporary thing, but it gets old and you get bored. But The Holy and Magnicent love of GOD has no end, it never gets old, and HE surely can fill any and all voids you experience. Afterall, HE did create you out of PURE LOVE.

If you believe in a god, you are not an atheist. If you believe in a specific god, you are whatever religion that god belongs to. If you just believe in a generic god, you are likely just a theist. If you believe in a creator-god that no longer influences the universe in any meaningful way, you are Deist.

You cannot believe in god and be an atheist!!!!
They simply do not believe in a god - any god - not just the christian one.
You are listening to the christian fears of atheists and need to run fast to save yourself from a life time of delusion and human rights abuse of anyone who does not toe their line in their beliefs.
Act now - save yourself from bigotry!!!

Thomas Paine was a Deist, and in "The Age of Reason" started off by writing, "I believe in One God, and no more ... I believe that the religious duties consist of doing good .." then he went on to discuss what he DIDN'T believe: In churches or in Holy Books.

You are a theist, not an atheist. An absence of a belief in any deity makes you atheist. A belief of the existance of a deity makes you theist.

Quote: " If the son of Adam comes to Me with a world full of sins, but believed in Me and associated no partners with Me, then I can forgive his sins and enter him into paradise, but if he came to me with sins and disbelief in Me, or associating partners with Me then I will never forgive him "
(Not accurate words, but this is a quotation of the words of God spoken to one of His prophets)
So seems like The Most importnat thing is to believe in Him. Having done that with sincerity and firm conviction, He can forgive our shortcomings.

Christian to atheists
Atheists to some christians
I say as it is written
" the devil knows there is a God and trembles "
Just Knowing or thinking HE IS
Doesnt make HIM who HE IS to you
Just what YOU want HIM to be !!!
GOD is GOD no matter whether anyone believes in HIM or Not
BUt for one to Believe in HIM is one step Closer to KNOWING HIM as HE IS !!!!!!

Simple, If you don't believe in Jesus you don't know God because if you know Jesus you would have know the father. ever one who dose not believe that Jesus is God in the flesh and dose not ask Jesus to forgive them for their sins so they can have a personal relationship with GOD is a sinner.
