i really dont mean to insult ur beliefs, nor am i questioning u etc, but i was wondering...do u think theres the slightest possibility that the bible contains simply what the church wants us to read, to believe? isnt it possible that there are in fact , gospels and documents which are records of a more man-like jesus which the church has purposely not shown us? a jesus who so firmly believed in his own teaching 'love ur neighbour' that he actually fell in love himself? isnt loving a woman, and having a child with her, the ultimate form of love?? why do some people find it an insult to think tht jesus fell in love with mary magdalene? is it really tht bad to think tht he felt love for a woman??didnt he call himself 'the son of man?' man falls in love, marries, haves children....well, that what i think....share ur opinions

When I went to a Christmas party, I gave my niece a gift card for Barnes and Noble, she said to her mother "reading a book are for dorks" and her mother said, " I know". I love reading a book, it helps me on my English and my grammar. I think reading let me escape from the stressful life and go on an adventure.I think reading is fun. I wish someone gave a book as a Christmas present. I left early because I wanted to read my favorite book, I rather read my favorite book than go to a party where spoiled kids fight for everything. Why do people hate reading so much?

I have been around religious folks, including my parents all of my life, and now I find myself questioning my religion. I feel so horrible, now since my mother has passed on. I feel that I will never ever see her again, and I am starting to question whether or not there is a God. I know this would devastate her, but I can't help feeling what I am feeling. Who can I talk to? I just don't feel comfortable worshipping God for selfish reasons. That's what I have been taught about religion... if you do for God, God will do for you. Help me?

What do you think, does Christmas and booze mix? Should Adults in the family drink hard liquor at Christmas? Would it maybe loosen things up and make people a little less stiff talking to people they rarely see and have little in common with.
