But its disrespectful to the first black person to win. Its like shes saying the other person isnt important.

Why?
She has to have dark skin to be Black?
She isn't white, either.
If she wants to be call Black... then let her.
Most African Americans aren't 100% African.

She was the first black woman to win an Oscar for a LEADING actress role. She is not the first black woman to win an Oscar and she was not disrespectful in her speech. Matter of fact, did you even hear the speech? Go youtube it and then come back. Mmmkay??

She was the first black actress to win a LEADING role in a movie as Denzel was first actor to win a leading role...and the difference of having to play Mammie to her character was why she cried even though the role she one an Oscar for to me was questionable.I thought Monster's ball and her role in it was one fo the most disgusting movies i have ever seen and almost threw up in that sex scene with Billy bob. I think she is naive to alot personally ...Denzel Washington didn't get the rights ward he deserved one also for a different movie...he deserved on for Malcom X a classic movie.

HALEY WASN'T BEING ARROGANT OR RACIST. I THINK SHE RESPECTS ALL PEOPLE, SHE WAS JUST SAYING THAT IT ISN'T COMMON FOR BLACKS TO WIN ANYTHING BIG OFTEN, ALSO, I AGREE.
