Were will America be at these times? with them or with Israel ?

The word of the LORD came to me: 2 "Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of [a] Meshech and Tubal; prophesy against him 3 and say: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of [b] Meshech and Tubal. 4 I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army—your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords. 5 Persia, Cush [c] and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, 6 also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you.

The theory is that Israel turns to Gog and Magog for protection , then Gog and Magog turn against Israel . (This is based on the notion that Assyria is a picture of Gog and Magog, see Ezekiel 38:17) If Gog and Magog is Russia as many believe the question is why does Israel turn to them instead of the USA?
The logical conclusion is that either the US isn't here or is no longer a military power as it is today.

Read the book of Isaiah and watch how often the phrase "In that day" pops up. Isaiah is dealing with the problems of his day and at the same time prophesying about events that take place in the "Day of the Lord".

Edit: Ezekiel 38:16 "And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel......"
38:18 "And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel...... " How many times does it have to say "my people Israel " or the "land of Israel" or "the mountains of Israel" before we understand its all about Israel?

Note any applicable current events that have recently taken place:

Russia will come from the north, and attack the USA.

Note the current events: There is melting going on at the north, and the ice has receded to make an ocean passage through the icy north. What I was taught, and I think that it is right, that verse 10 in Ezekiel 38 is not talking about Israel, but the USA. Russia will come and from the northern polar region attack the USA. They will come through Canada and access the middle of the country where the livestock and grains are grown.

The 'hook' that God will put in their mouth makes them think that they can do it. To an unsuspecting people, Israel just doesn't fit that bill. Israel doesn't think that Russia is an ally. They know that it was Russia all along that IS sharing technology with the Syrians and the Iranians. There is always suspicion. But America in the eyes of the Russians who controls things, i. e. Putin, will feel encouraged, thus the 'hook' is in place. The encroachment of Russia to the area of the Northern Polar region is well known.

So once again traditional Christian teachings are set, and they cannot see what is there. Even with the signs of the times they stick to their traditional teachings, that the USA is not in prophecy, yet there it is:

10 " 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: On that day thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil scheme. 11 You will say, "I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people—all of them living without walls and without gates and bars. 12 I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land." 13 Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and all her villages will say to you, "Have you come to plunder? Have you gathered your hordes to loot, to carry off silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods and to seize much plunder?" '

By the following verse, we can know that it won't take place until the Great Tribulation has occurred, after the Antichrist has made peace in the Middle East:

14 "Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: In that day, when my people Israel are living in safety, will you not take notice of it? 15 You will come from your place in the far north, you and many nations with you, all of them riding on horses, a great horde, a mighty army. 16 You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land."

The prophecy ends in the middle of verse 16. The line of separation is here. Then it changes, Israel itself is attacked:

"In days to come, O Gog, I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I show myself holy through you before their eyes."

THAT'S when they attack the people of Israel in the land of Israel.

So tie in Zechariah 14 to that last verse, and the ones to follow.

Not many know these things, but lean upon the Holy Spirit to guide you to understanding.

The Bible says the whole world turns against Israel in rebellion of God. So sadly it seems in that future day that America will find itself on the side of rebellion against God.

Jesus saves individuals, so no matter what a nation may say, the person must be faithful to the Lord and His Word and support Israel and the Jewish people.
