i hear some churches put on clown masses...i find that sacrilegious...what does the catholic church think of clown masses?

Yes, Catholics and Pope Benedict XVI has said they are sacrilegious.
Many dissenting Catholics have committed many many abuses to our worship over the last 30 years. Both Pope JPII and Benedict XVI have redirected these dissidents back to authentic worship practices before the Lord.
Clown Mass is a rarity, Praise Be Jesus Christ now and forever.

I just had the most ridiculous image of a preist and six nuns piling out of a tiny little car--what a great idea for children!!

In law school, we always had a Red Mass, just for lawyers.
Think about THAT, and ClownMass doesnt seem so absurd, on any terms.

It sounds stupid. church or mass should be enjoyable, but that's just disrespectful!
