Do you think it is proper for the government to dictate to a church which weddings they may legally perform? Some churches have decided that until same-sex partners can have a civil wedding ceremony in the church, they will not hold any wedding ceremonies at all. http://www.planetout.com/news/article.html?2007/12/14/1

Could this possibly be a bit "excessive" or do you say you're all for it? Could this be an example of science that is void of ethical peer review and morality?
Can we agree that just because we CAN do something, doesn't mean we SHOULD do it?

....I have a clean, short, neatly trimmed beard. People say it looks better on me than if I didn't have it all.

Having said this, I have an interview tomorrow...for an analyst position. People do wear beards in the business...but it's not all that common (more folks wear goatees than beards). What do you think? Should I go with it for tomorrow's interview, or not?

Please let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks.

Like is heaven $100.00 but hell is only $10.00?

Or is hell $100.00 and heaven $10.00?

Or are they both $50.00 each?

Can't really imagine both of those places would be free.

Capitalism doesn't work that way.

To whom it may concern...
I am 16 and have wanted to convert to Islam for almost to years. Up until recently my intention has been a secret, until my parents found out that I had saught out and have been speaking to a local Imam, to whom I had asked help in the process of converting. When they found out they were ferious, and made sure I would never speak to him again. The rest of my family soon found out, and now they are angry at me as well, even though I have explained the true meaning of Islam to them. Christianity has always been practiced and enforced in my family, and they are keen as to keeping me a part of it. They may even try to force me to revert. I have thinking as to convert in private, and keep it a secret. What should I do?

QUOTE: "In the second century, it was Christians who were called “atheists,” because they failed to worship the accepted gods. “On the True Doctrine: A Discourse Against the Christians” was written in 178 A.D. by Celsus, an eclectic follower of Plato. The Christian deity, Celsus proclaimed, is a contradictory invention." END QUOTE

If anyone wants to know where the candy cane came from, just read this post from the ministry MenOfGod (www.menofgod.us). Here you are!
The Legend of the Candy Cane

Look at the Candy Cane
What do you see?
Stripes that are red
Like the blood shed for me
White is for my Savior
Who's sinless and pure!
"J" is for Jesus, My Lord, that's for sure!
Turn it around
And a staff you will see
Jesus my shepherd
Was born for Me!

Many years ago, a candy maker wanted to make a candy at Christmas time that would serve as a witness to his Christian faith. He wanted to incorporate several symbols for the birth, ministry and death of Jesus. He began with a stick of pure white hard candy; white to symbolize the Virgin Birth and the sinless nature of Jesus; hard to symbolize the solid rock, the foundation of the Church; firmness to represent the promise of God. The candymaker made the candy in the form of a "J" to represent the name of Jesus, who came to earth as our Savior. He thought it co

Like when I really really need something badly and pray and pray for things to happen, they dont. But when things are relativly okay, good things happen. Why? Theres more to this question. Like, somebody just did a wonderful thing for me and I am happy and surprised, but I know I would be even more extemly happy if I was in need of it desperetly and I could be more grateful. I am grateful , but I feel that I would be even more grateful if things happened in my time of need. God works in mysterious ways... what is he trying to tell me.

You say alot of older pagan beliefs are Myth. This would include alot of Shamanic, Druidic, and ancient worship practices. However have you ever thought, in all fairness, that your spirituality may be the myth. (And if you ask me the same, yes ive questioned my own belief and still stay with it.)

Two priests were on vacation, being determined to make it a real vacation they bought some really outrageous shorts, shirts, sandals, sunglasses etc. (so that they will not b identified clergy).
Well, in the morning they went to the beach, dressed in their "tourist" garb and were sitting on beach chairs, enjoying a drink when a "drop dead gorgeous" topless blonde in bikini came walking towards them
As she passed them, she smiled and said "good morning, Father, good morning, Father" addressing them individually and passes by. They were both stunned.
Next day, they bought even more outrageous outfits. Once again both were settled in beach chairs after a while, the same topless blonde, wearing a string came toward them and greeted" good morning Father".
One of the priests couldn't stand it any longer and said "Just a minute young lady."
Yes? she replied
"We are priests but how in the world did you know we are priests dressed as we are?
FATHER, IT'S ME SISTER ANGELA she replied
