I'm 12 too. And I dont know how to make up my mind!!! There's soo many things that i want! But so many to choose from. I would get something that you would use for a long time. like...i want uggs...(obviosly its gonna take A LOT of begging to get them)...and i want a laptop. These things are pretty expencive. So chances are...i wont get them. Maybe get a vera bradley? idk...i like them. Dont get something that isnt useful. The way to convince your parents is to be...well...good. Do your chores, clean ur room now and then, and dont ask for something big, make it kinda obvious that u want it. but dont ask...they'll just end up saying no. at least thats the case with MY parents. when i go shopping with my mom at the mall...and i see something that i want...i look at it for like a long time and i stay in the store for a while. i show my mom how cool it is and what it can do. Thats what i do...try it and see if it works. But the things I suggest to get would be: macbook (or if u dont like mac stuff get a different laptop), uggs, maybe a nintendo ds...thats what i would get.

AN UGLY DOLL!
Or maybe a calender for the new year.
Try something good smelling, like the Bath and Body works temptations collection.
You can't get electronics every year, that's a little spoiled (no offense or anything)
There's also something called a lying machine. I'm not sure where to find it, but you put your hand in it, and it can sense whether you're telling the truth or not. Its not expensive or all, only $20.
Good Luck!

I'm 13 and I'm getting a laptop but if your parents said no they probably mean no. It took me 2 years to convince them to get me one.

What about one of those Wii's or tickets to a concert coming up?

Ask for a designer purse or something. It's something you'll always love and your friends will be jealous of.

Maybe you could ask for a trampoline that you can put in your backyard if you live in a house since you said you're kinda sporty.

something unique poppet. well here goes....how about something out of the following....swim with dolphins, scuba diving (i qualified sciba diver/teacher) sky diving, concert tickets to your fav bands/singers, yeah laptop toooooo as its fun to carry around with you and do the girly show off bit LOL (I am 51 by the way and have 4 children of my own & 47 foster children so I know the sorts of things you would like) try also to think of things that would involve your parents too, that way they will be more likely to purchase the item for you. Happy Christmas honey have a lovely time & I hope you get what you want.

you know what? if you don't expect at thing, you won't be disappointed, only pleasantly surprised. I have never ASKED for a single thing at Christmas or any other time, and I have always been so nicely surprised in gifts that people have given me. You might want to try that, takes all the pressure off the holidays as you get older.

Some kind of experience, sounds like it'd be more fun than any "thing", like: horse riding lessons, or snow boarding trip and see if you can bring a friend, or snowboard, or indoor go-kart racing---not sure where you are, but those are some things that sound like the'd be fun for you.

you don't need a laptop. you're 12. you're probably not going anywhere that you'd need to type a report. Besides, any defenses, like I CAN USE IT AT COLLEGE HAHAH ROFLROFL LOLOLOLL, will be shot down, because by then you'll want a new one. ask for a nice desktop.

Well all i can say is that the only way you can convince somebody is by behaving right or you can sell your old fly pen top and buy your self a new one.
