What? Not sure where in the scriptures you got that idea from.
"We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. " http://scriptures.lds.org/en/a_of_f/1
We believe that Jesus Christ was and is our Saviour, and that he is a different being from God. We also believe that both God and Christ have appeared to modern prophets.

God the Eternal Father had given His divine investiture to His firstborn, Jehovah, otherwise known as Jesus Christ, to create worlds and universes. The earth was among those creations.
Because Jesus Christ, or Jehovah as He was known in the Old Testament, created this world He is considered to be the God of this world--by authority of the Father in heaven.

They believe this to make Mormonism seem like just another version of Christianity but in reality, it's a religion dedicated to the hallucinations of a malnourished, illiterate, pathological liar from the 19th century.
