my daughter has to design 2 different christmas cards with a religious theme....the first one shes done a christian card, but what other religion celebrates christmas? Jews dont celebrate it, buddhists dont, hindus dont, muslims dont.....im really stuck, helpppp!!!

(I don't know much about LDS doctrine and that's why I'm asking, please don't think this is an attack.)

"Mormons believe in eternal progression and that they may someday become gods."

The article also said that in addition to tobacco and alcohol, the LDS church expects its follows to abstain from coffee and tea.

Is this true? Is it a universal thing among the LDS church, or are there sub-denominations that believe different things? Do you personally believe in eternal progression?

Also, is the reason coffee is prohibited because it contains caffeine? Can you drink decaf?

I grew up in a Christian church and I stopped going a while back for a few reasons, I actually left that church for another and ended up encountering the same type of people so I decided to just stay home. I still believe in God still read the bible and I am alot happier. Do you feel you need church to have God in your heart?

I went to see it this last weekend, and found it to be a disjointed and poorly produced movie.

BUT

If people are not strong enough in their faith to see through the fantasy of it, there are serious problems with their faith then.

I find that a large number of Atheists are just a bunch of
disgruntled people. Why is that ? The majority of the ones
that I know personally are in a rage. Mainly because they
have found no substance in there lives. So this emptiness
resides. You can tell by the words that they use, when
speaking of The Almighty. A friend of mine, is the exact
same way. He has had 3 marriages, and a fantasy
lifestyle. He lost everything !! Now he is a has been and
a reject, to society. So he blames Christians for his
problems. Funny right. He claimed his Atheistic mentality,
came from a university. That is where he learned how to
think in that manner. And I keep asking him, what if
the lessons you learned were false. Guess what ?
He said nothing...... Many of you have had major traumas
in your lives. Is that the reason why, you are an Atheist ?
Thinking where was God, when that horrible thing, happened
to me. Best answer wins. ~~~

Last night some Christian requested prayers for a person with whom she had a nasty encounter. What if that person doesn't want her prayers.

I mean, are there any Christians that will allow me to pray to Satan that your house burns down and your family gets Cancer? Can I sacrifice a bunny in your name? How would you feel knowing that I prayed to Satan to bring to you health and prosperity?

... In regards to Your R&S opinion, on an issue; where they accuse you of "not being nice to other religions" Yet, they are the ones that are guilty?

I have recieved a TON of hate mail (from one "religious organisation" specifically) accusing me of "not loving others"
when i most certainly do that, and am very respectful.
They even reported all of my Q&A to get me suspened on purpose SIMPLY BECAUSE I STATED A FACT that due to the doctrines of their church, they cannont be classified as a "Christian Religon".

But, they accused me of "not walking in love" ALL BECAUSE MY OPINION WAS DIFFERENT.
We have doctrinal disagreements - but i AM ALWAYS respectful. AND they accused me of "hating" their faith because I disagreed with it's docrtines, respectfully.

One Idiot even wrote "yo trick shut yo mouth" then proceeded to try and tell me to "love others as Christ did". ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

None of thier comments had any truth in them!!!

I've recently moved into a very 'religious' area. That religion of course being the only one in America where they're allowed to force it down your throat , deny you rights, etc if you don't believe in it: Christianity.
Well I swear to crap if I see one more moronic "Keep Christ in Christmas" or "Jesus is the reason for the season" sign or bumper sticker I'm going to smack someone.
Seriously, everytime I see this I vomit a little.

Are Christians really that ignorant and arrogant or are they just liars? Don't they know that Christmas is actually the result of Christians hijacking the pagan holiday in an effort to convert them? lol
I'm actually afraid of someone sending me a stupid card or saying something like this to my face, because I know I'll go off.

Does anyone have anything simple, concise, and polite that I can have prepared to say so that I don't say what I really want to say? (Which is way too long and vulgar for this website let alone to say to someone in person. )
