Because man still thinks they are somehow more important to God then All other life. Clearly this is a nearsighted view of God.

I don't allow it !! This is news to me. To the guy who said we are a**holes !! Up Yours!! Sorry but that's insulting. I don't know where you got that info but just because somebody say it doesn't make it so. I know that global warming is having an effect on them but I don't know anybody here who is going out and killing the bears. The Eskimo's hunt them for food and clothing.I do know that rich Americans come here for trophies to hang on their walls. There's a lot of money to be made doing that. I hate people who hunt for sport. It's more than just the bears deer, moose, elk, if it's out there they will come.I don't agree with it but money has always talked and bull sh*t walks. I'm sure if you had these animals were you live someone would take them out hunting. Please don't throw all Canadians into the same basket we aren't allowing this. We don't even know it's happening. We live in cities and go to work everyday just like you.Peta hasn't said anything about it.I love our wildlife and would protect it but how do you protect something you know nothing about??? There is a bigger picture here than what is being told. ♥

Who knows, just another Country that doesn't give a s**t about it's animals. I am sure someone will come up with the line that they need to be culled blah blah blah.

Polar bears do not hunt people, they may go into towns because they are looking for food, but generally man isn't on the menu. Churchill is one place in particular that has a problem and they capture them and put them back where they belong.

Why does the Canadian goverment allow thousands of seal pups to be clubbed to death too, against the wishes of many Canadian people ?
The same way I suppose that British troops are still in Iraq although hundreds of thousands of British people demonstrated against the invasion before it even started.
Why does Australia allow Japanese whalers in her waters ?
And so it goes on.

Makes you wonder what some people will do for fun when the polar bears are all gone.

The brutality that we humans are capable of never ceases to amaze, or sadden me.
