I'm a ftm transsexual and I have been told that I chose to be a transsexual. I know I didn't have any choice in it. It's just a part of who I am yet some people are adamant in telling me that I made a conscious choice to be trans. Why do some people assume this?

A Body/institution run by you all. Possible? Lol!

A Body that handle this programs also responsible to set some guidelines, in order to educate the imams/participants on sensitivities of certain societies and all.

Duration: Say for 3 months stints.

Exchange: Selected 10 to 20 Imams from say, Jeddah Saudi to be placed in some mosques in Malaysian or Indonesian or other countries' cities or villages or some rural areas.

Benefits : Give exposures & experience to greater Muslims all over the world. Understand the societies' lives, cultures, & difficulties, share their knowledges with the locals and their own people.

Objective: To unite ummah (sillaturrahim), to build greater Muslim nation, as well as creating imams with greater experience, knowledgeable & perhaps the Body will be able to get standardized sermons/preaches & get some important message across the globe.

Source of funds: Funded by the governments & OIC that have billions of unutilized funds.

on Shia-Sunni? Those who are really interested to know could search for it. We have already had so many discussions about it here at Y/A. If someone is really interested then come up with a really different question in this regard.

OR ELSE Sunnis and Shias they better write one answer on this topic and save it with them and everytime just copy paste it, because its really tiring to have the same questions again and again.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not from any book, bible, preacher, teacher or the way you were raised. But from something that happened to you personally that somehow touched or guided you.

BUT, since I am new and consider myself a professional how do I deal with these small minded people? It has been brought to my attention I am having lunch and sex with an IT staffer but everyday I have lunch in the breakroom with my coworkers--so it is false. My concern is my reputation. I'm still on my 90 days. I work in a retirement community and depts. are scattered around the office building. These people who may be spreading the rumors do not know me yet and work in different departments. I feel my only option is to quit when new jobs open up after Jan 1. Any ideas on how to flush these people out or deal with them. I told my boss what I heard. I feel comfortable confronting people face to face, if needed. I kinda of feel sorry for these pathetic people and at this point embarrased to be working with them. There seems to be little if no threat of firing bad employees there, which adds to the frustration. I am just taken aback at how petty and hurtful these people are. Thanks

I'm seeing them everywhere around town - hanging from ceilings and even on the floor in a tree stand - just upside down. Honestly, it looks really creepy, kind of like an upside down cross. What's the origin of this strange tradition?

I was wondering if anyone felt the same way that I do. It seems as I get older Christmas doesn't seem to have the same excitement that it used to. I remember as a kid loving the lights, the decorations, and anticipating Christmas morning.

Now it seems as though the holidays are just regular days. The Christmas spirit just doesn't really excite me anymore. You know, the stress of Christmas shopping, deciding who to spend Christmas with, worrying about spending $$$ on gifts for people.

Don't get me wrong its not all bad, I see Christmas for being more of a family and religious holiday rather than a social one. But that seems to be a little boring to me. Anyways what are your experiences?

Please *do* read first.

I'm an Atheist myself, thus I have a very limited knowledge base of the story of Mohammad, and fankly, of Islam as a whole. I'm not perfect (I have said things that don't match my real personality and values, starnge enough), but I do know one thing about myself that I "never" doubt is that, I am *not* an ignorant person and I dislike biased facts. I try not being closed-mided, but it's hard for me, but I do try, nontheless. So I was thinking of reseaching who and what Mohammad and Islam *really* was and is, but then I thought: "maybe I should ask people who share relatively the same beliefs as me", to get *both* sides of the story and then compare to the hard fact. In a way you can think of this as me testing your knowledge of something that you may oppose to but at the same time but having a prespective of both sides. So, who do you guys thing Mohammed really was, and why does Islam focus so much on him? What's his importance in the religion?
