.....been on this darned computer for 9 hours or longer today?
After I did my knee exercises I didn't feel like doing anything else. This is my longest yet. What has been your longest time on Y/A's?

OK Queen X, you can sit back and relax now, as " silly " I'm not, and Nurse I AM. Of course, for the love of Pete, I didn't sit here that whole time without getting up... and I have no plans on dying anytime soon. But thanks for your.....wisdom?

Many times, I have been able to be on YA for nine hours. But
I do check for email and then come back. It depends on how
I'm feeling actually. There have been times, I nodded off at
the keyboard. I never fell out of the chair once either LOL.
And the funny thing, is my husband never knew I was asleep.
Shows how much attention he pays, huh? He will be tuned into movies and not look around to where I am at the enter-
tainment center. And not once, has one of the dogs awakened me either. I usually woke myself up LOL. On days
where I can't even stand for long, I do spend more time than
I normally do here. Just to feel like I'm accomplishing some-
thing constructive. I need to always feel busy, even if I'm just
answering questions or reading some of the answers to
questions. So often I don't take the time to read other ans-
wers to questions I have answered. So I enjoy going to them
again and taking the time to see other comments. I some-
times vote while eating lunch. I won't even just relax while
eating. I'll do both YA and eat too. Now that's dedication LOL.

Wow ... that must be a record! At least you did get up now and then. I don't know what my record is. I do this in spurts throughout the day. Some days I'm able to spend an hour or so on the computer (not just YA though), but other days it's just 5 or 10 minutes at a time. I guess you will have to beat the old record tomorrow.

I don't know of any way to calculate that. When I am on YA I also have 1 or 2 other webpages open and ''do'' other things for a while and come back to Y.A. Time flies faster when I am online than at any other time though. Often during the day when I am resting from housework etc. I will sit down for about 30 minutes and get online. Especially if nothing is on TV I want to watch and there usually isn't

I can't say for sure how long I've spent on Y/A at one time but I'm sure it's not been that long. I have spent as long as 11 or 12 hours a day on the computer back when I was researching my family tree a few years ago. I was new to computers at that time and everything went slow, I even had to teach myself to type. As most of you know, there are some things you just don't learn as quickly when you're over 70 and it seems that as soon as you do learn them, you forget! LOL

Sometimes, I have days where I am on my computer a lot each day too but I do things in between answering/asking questions. I do household chores then take a break in front of my computer. If I think it looks like I may be falling behind in some things, I get those things done first. I don't feel guilty because there are worse ways to spend the day.

I'm not usually on that long but I know the time flies when you're having fun. One night I started at about 10:00 pm and I check out YA and thengo to youtube and check out the music and there is always something else I want to hear and so on and before I knew it, it was 2:30 am and I have to get up at seven!

Have to do Y/A in spurts. If I sit at the computer for too long, my back and neck will surely give me grief. That's why I miss out on answering a lot of questions...and it's even worse now that there are so many of them anymore!

Sometimes I spend most of the day checking in, off and on. I also do some housework, take care of the critters, chat on the phone, do laundry, fix something to eat, etc. I try to find the 'down time' here, but I always miss something. lol
I could join that Y/A anonomous group, but I really don't want to quit. lol It's a fun place to be, so I say let's just enjoy it here, we're old enuff to do what we want, yeah!

That saturday we had the big snow storm here I was on until hubby got home safely. Over 12 hours off and on. Can`t do it without taking breaks because it causes headaches.
