Adam and Eve sinned. God sacrifices a cow, uses its blood for their transgression, and makes clothes for them

Abraham sacrifices a lamb instead of his son

Moses builds a sanctuary in which lambs are burnt at the altar

historically evidnece indicated that early jews practiced animal sacrifice for their sins this is also in accordance wit the bible

Mary sacrifices 2 turtle doves for her sin, this in Luke

God said there is no remission of sin without blood

So, why did Jews have to commit all these animal sacrifices, if this is not true

and why does the god of islam if he is not the same require no such practice should be done for islam

but instead i can make pilgirmage to mecca and walk round the black box

Even chrisitans believe that sin is paid by blood, but throguh the blod of Jesus.

The question is, why does the god of islam if he is trhe same godf, no longer require blood either from animals or by jessu for sin,

and what was the ponit of putting the jews trhroguh it,

"Secular schools can never be tolerated because such schools have no religious instruction, and a general moral instruction without a religious foundation is built on air; consequently, all character training and religion must be derived from faith ...we need believing people. "

For the record this is a quote by Adolf Hitler from a speech made on Feb 1 1933.

Where in the bible does it tell people about purgatory ?
Even if it did exist , Why would a man be able to give discounts ?
What makes the Pope think he can talk for God ?
Why do people listen to man made organisations pretending to be from God ?
Does the time discount include a price discount to get people out of purgatory ?

Christians lied to me about evolution. There are two things I want to say:

1) The U.S. has the most Christians, and the most creationists of any industrialized nation in the world. Yet even here, 0.15% of earth and life scientists do not support evolution. That wasn't a typo, yes, less than 1%.

2) Read about evolution. Understand what you are rejecting and why. Creationist websites will not give you the truth. Your pastor probably does not understand it. Read about it from a scientist's perspective. There are good reasons why scientists do not debate it anymore.

Do you think its unreasonable to try to understand what you are rejecting?

Here is an example of the translation of 3 simple words with a simple message into 4 languages and english. I am using the McDonalds Slogan:

English : I'm lovin' it.

German: Ich Liebe es,
i love it, in english

French: C'est tout ce que j'aime,
it is all that i like, in english

Spanish: Me Encanta,
it enchants me, in english

Portugeuse: Amo muito tudo isso,
I love that a lot, in english

if this short message can mean 5 completely different things in 5 different languages. Think how many words are in the bible, and how 'complex' the 'message' of the bible supposedly is.

Just an example.

I ask this due to the overwhelming inquiries regarding the subject of homosexuality. We have all heard the argument that goes something like this, "I was born this way." I would propose to you that this may be true. You may have been born with feelings of homosexuality, since we are all born in an imperfect state and are considered sinners.

So what do you say then about people who claim they were born with the desire to kill others? What about all of the people that fantasize about forcing themselves onto others without their approval? Should we accept their actions because they were born with these feelings?

We all have impure feelings that we can say we were born with, therefore using your argument I should be able to rape my neighbors wife if I choose, because I just can't fight this feeling I have had since I was a child. My earliest memories are those in which I could have my way with the little red headed girl who lived on the corner.
Do we accept pedophilia next?

Japan must be a Christian nation, because Christians tell us that our laws are based on Christian morals, and Japan has essentially all the same laws (and had them long before America ever existed), so they must be a Christian nation just like America, correct?

Recently I asked Christians to list their top 5 books. Now I am wonder, who are the top 5 ministers that you listen to regularly, whether it is your own pastor, podcasts, or tapes and cd's?

Some podcasts I listen to weekly are Rob Bell, Andy Stanley, Mark Tindall, Perry Noble and Mark Driscoll.

The JWs were due to distribute the brochure "Keep On The Watch" during January 2008. A JW friend has told me that he has been informed that this campaign has now been cancelled, but no reason was given for the cancellation. It isn't due to lack of supplies of the brochure, apparently his congregation has plenty, and so does the congregation they share with their Kingdom Hall. Do any JWs have any information about this? My friend has been a JW for many years, and this is the first time he has known a planned campaign to be cancelled. He is somewhat perplexed at the news.

A young blonde was on vacation in the depths of Louisiana.
She wanted a pair of genuine alligator shoes in the worst way, but was very
reluctant to pay the high prices the local vendors were asking.

After becoming very frustrated with the "no haggle" attitude of one of the
shopkeepers, the blonde shouted, "Maybe I'll just go out and catch my own
alligator so I can get a pair of shoes at a reasonable price!"

The shopkeeper said, "By all means, is my guest. Maybe
You’ll luck out and catch yourself a big one!"

Determined, the blonde turned and headed for the swamps, set on catching
herself an alligator.

Later in the day, the shopkeeper is driving home, when he spots the young
woman standing waist deep in the water, shotgun in hand. Just then, he sees a
huge 9 foot alligator swimming quickly toward her. She takes aim, kills the
creature and with a great deal of effort hauls it on to the swamp bank. Laying
nearby were several more of the dead creatures.

The shopkeeper watches in amazement. Just then the blonde flips the alligator
on it's back, and frustrated, shouts out, "Damn it, this
One isn't wearing any shoes either!"

Is it 100% certain from the text that Satan is being referred to? For a start, Jesus teaches "to him that has not, even that which he has shall be taken away from him." In accordance with this saying, Jehovah has permitted the wilfully blind to become blinder.
What do you think? Or is there an explicit reference to Satan? Your thoughts please.

Considering that atheists have no institutions/beliefs/ideas that are held in common, aside from lack of belief in a deity, why are people surprised that we don't repsond favorably to personal attacks? We aren't defending an idea or institution, we have to defend:

A. Our existence ("What do atheists have to live for?")
B. Our presence ("Why are atheists here?")
C. Our ethics ("Without God, how can you know right from wrong?")
D. Our morals ("God tells us what is good/bad.")
E. Our intelligence (", because atheists should all have doctorates in Biology, Physics and Astronomy before being allowed to not believe in a deity.")

I think most of the questions asked to Christians are, if not genuinely curious, then only attacking scripture or doctrine or the church. (With the occasional exception for hypocrisy or insulting their intelligence. Yeah, I'm guilty too.)

So why do you think we're so "angry?"
