Celebrate 25 years of marriage with silver, the traditional gift. Sterling silver represents the contemporary, albeit expensive, choice.
Instructions
Difficulty: Easy
Steps
1Step OneTry to think creatively, not literally, with your silver gift. When shopping for a couple, remember to consider both the wife and husband.
2Step TwoPut careful thought into selecting a gift for your spouse. When buying a gift for a couple, if you don't know their taste or style, ask people who do.
3Step ThreeInterpret silver as perfection. How about a dozen roses, Belgian chocolates or Dom Perignon champagne in silver flutes? Or silverware, or unique jewelry pieces?
4Step FourThink of something you can do together, if you don't like the idea of traditional gifts. Design the "perfect day," buy the perfect books, or choose the perfect outing or gift with your cherished partner or couple in mind (gift certificates can come in handy here).
5Step FiveEnclose a personal gift card acknowledging that 25 years of marriage is an important milestone, and remember that flowers are always the perfect herald for this kind of event.
Tips & Warnings
A small amount of real silver in the form of a vase, mirror frame or matching bangles makes for an elegant gift.
Only the immediate family buys expensive anniversary presents.

Couplized jewely like a watch for dad and a nice necklace or ring for mom would be pretty sweet. Just don't get any metals that'll oxidize/rust/stain skin cuz that'll ruin the idea in the long run :) good luck and congrats to your parents

Gather up a bunch of pictures of them over the years, from their early years dating through the present, and make a DVD collection of them all set to their favorite songs, especially if they have one particular song that's special to them. Then get the family together, maybe for a small party or dinner in their honor and suprise everyone with the colleciton you've put together.
If that won't work, try getting their pictures together (sorry, I'm a picture person!) and make a huge collage out of them to be framed in a poster-sized frame. My friend's parents have one and it's great. It's all in black-and-white with a picture of each of them seperately when they met. Around it are pictures of them through the years, including one or two from the wedding, and even some newspaper clippings from over the years that they were involved in. It's really beautiful and everyone that comes to their home comments on it.

A party with family and friends.
A video, a scrapbook or a slideshow compiling pictures and memories of their life together.
Something silver, since 25 is the Silver anniversary.
Hope this helps.

A suprise party? Would be a good idea, especially if you have siblings, to throw a party together.
Or something silver, that is the Silver Anniversary.
