NO.. and if you are knowledgable you'll realize that in Christianity and Judism.. there was polygamous marriages.. Many of the old prophets and men of the bibles had numerous wives (I dont recall anyone making a law against that either)..
anyways.. You have to understand why women in Islam and generally women of any faith.. shouldnt have multiple husbands.. The children take the blood line of the father.. If a man has a few wives, he knows those are his blood linage, no question. But if a women has many husbands she wont know which child is whose (these days, yes we have DNA) but back then, no.. Its to keep the blood line clean and to prevent birth defects, genetic defects etc... Also women tend to get more diseases with multiple partners.. Its just all around safer cleaner, morally correct for women to have one partner.. ...
Now back to why men are allowed more than 1 wife in Islam.. God allows up to 4, but doesnt say you have to, and there are conditions, strict rules apply and if you dont meet those, you are to stick with one wife only.. Its rare to see muslim men with more than one wife.. the western media makes it out like men in Islam just run around with 4 women all the time.. Im a muslim I live in SaudiArabia and I dont recall knowing anyone who is in that type of marriage..
