Dankeschoen. :)

What Happens When an Agnostic Follows the Bible Literally for One Year?

Atheists do not judge I assume because they believe there is no right nor wrong everyone can do what they want as long as it does not harm another person....

People of faith never gloat how perfect they are in fact they are proably the ones who are harder on themselves more than anyone because the walk with GOD is a daily struggle (Good and Evil) when my posts start becoming a bit more challenging bigoted as some say is when I feel myself letting my human sinful spirit block out the PEace that only comes from GOD.

When there is no right or wrong then there is no struggle you can be a jerk you can be nice you can be selfish you can be kind you can be a liar or you can tell the truth, because your life and destiny is up to you, but when you have a purpose beyond a human exsistence you do find struggle you do find right and wrong
and you do find Perfection is not attainable but forgiveness is and that is the humility that atheists do not understand
Isn't it?

*Some* Protestants slide into error when stating that salvation is by faith alone while believing that good works play no role in the Christian life.

Is the “fruit” of this “pit” licentiousness, lack of repentance, and false assurance?

*Some* Catholics slide into error when stating that salvation is by faith and works while believing that good works earn and/or merit justification with God.

Is the “fruit” of this “pit” legalism, condemnation, and complete lack of assurance?
-

Are the true “wheat” united in the truth that salvation is by grace through faith that leads to a Spirit-led life abounding and overflowing in the fruit of the Holy Spirit (namely: love), who works in and through us to do His will and pleasure, even the good works prepared beforehand for us to do for His glory?

And by living and walking in such truth by the power of the Holy Spirit, don’t we avoid licentiousness AND legalism, lack of repentance AND condemnation, false assurance AND lack of assurance?

This is not to offend anyone- I myself am bisexual. I just want to know the personal opinions of other people. I've heard alot of opinions (reasonable or not) from "it's pure choice" to "hormones" and "born".

What do you think?

The face of christmas has been hijacked by faceless, money grabbing companies. Christmas should be a time of sharing and being thankfull not how much you spend. By returning Santa to his traditional colours we can start to reclaim this magical time and focus on it's true meaning.... Please see poll on my 360 page...

Mormons have been saying they're Christians, but they still send missionaries to thoroughly Christian areas. The missionaries find out that the person they're proselytzing to is a Christian and still try to get that Christian to convert. Why would a Christian try to convert a Christian to Christianity? Other Christian denominations, upon finding out that the person they're proselytzing to is a Christian, no matter the denomination (excluding LDS and JW), still continue with proselytzing. So, why? I know it happens, I've both watched it and experienced it.

I've been curious about this for a while and the spate of Mormon questions got me to thinking of it.

Doesn't Catholicism fall under Christianity? I keep telling the lady that I'm Catholic therefore, we believe in the same God. She keeps preaching me to convert to her Christianity, I think, it's Baptist. But we're the same, right? It's not like I'm Jewish or Muslim. What's the difference then? Why?

Judges 8:30-31
30And Gideon had threescore and ten sons of his body begotten: for he had many wives.31And his concubine that [was] in Shechem, she also bare him a son, whose name he called Abimelech. (KJV)

Gideon fathered 71 sons through many wives plus a mistress in Sheche. Is this how the hotel-bible Gideon Society expects us to demonstrate family values?

Walk around saying offensive things about other peoples religion and very mean things to people who are gay, and then when someone says, that is what I believe and just let me practice that and you can practice your own faith, the person who was doing the former flips out and says "stop persecuting me"
I have seen exactly 16 people do this.
Why did these people do this.

For the Christians who will say I am stereotyping them, please read the question.

My co-worker and I were just looking at the calendar and realized there was a "Day After New Year's Day" on the 2nd (duh) in New Zealand. What the heck is it? I've found it listed all over the place, but no definition! I haven't seen any listings that indicate they celebrate New Year's Eve, so is it their version of the American "New Year's Eve" and "New Year's Day"?
